May 6, 20251 yr I am beyond belief that this company is still not fixing this particular PMDG BOEING 777 after such a long time. Why? Understandably, a software might have bugs and certain issues after release, and most developers will release patches and product improvements. Unfortunately, at PMDG, this 777 has been known since P3D, MSFS2020, and now for MSFS2024, to have this big bug related to the wrong implementation of the trim speed feature carried over from one platform to the other consistently during all these years. This feature is creating quick/abrupt pitch oscillations and failing to provide accurate and realistic behavior during C*U control law in hand-flying conditions, and it still has not been resolved. THE REAL AIRPLANE IN REAL LIFE DURING SPEED AND CONFIGURATION CHANGES, IT IS VERY STABLE AND IT DOES NOT FLY LIKE THIS. Real pilots brought this problem to their attention SINCE the 1990s, and stubbornly, even today, it has not been fixed. Very upsetting to see them in such a state of denial, stubbornly continuing on this path. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
May 6, 20251 yr probably the best chance for a better outcome would be if you take your complaints directly to the pmdg forum or file a ticket with them, instead of harping on this over and over again in a flight sim nerd's forum. or better yet, create your own c*u control law wrapper or develop your own 777 for msfs and show pmdg how it's done. May 6, 20251 yr I do not think that he is allowed on the PMDG forum, so I can understand his frustration if he thinks that something is wrong. May 6, 20251 yr Casual DDowns claiming nothing is wrong like usual. Just keeps telling PMDG what they want to hear. Narcissist behaviour

Also tracks with my experience with PMDG forums for literally decades and as the thread shows, you are not alone. I’m not sure if you are a driver IRL, but more than one Trip 7 driver says the FBW logic around trim speed is borked yet that assessment seems to fall on deaf ears at PMDG. Remember, denial ain’t just a river in Egypt LoL -B
May 6, 20251 yr Has been wrong since it was released for FSX... Is plain wrong in the FS 2020 773... Not going to spend my good money on it just to find out it continues to be wrong as ever 😕 Edited May 6, 20251 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
May 6, 20251 yr Fortunately, I'm not a pilot and remain in blissful ignorance of flaws in consumer sim models. I can imagine what I'd think of VW Golf simulation on my PC. I recommend that people who distrust a "copy and paste" vendor should stop buying their products, especially on the first day. Don't trust reviews and wait for user feedback. Nothing boosts quality control better than poor sales figures. I fear the reason is not that they don't understand there's a problem or don't want to fix it, but that they aren't able to. Witness how long they've been working on RNP AR and still don't have something that works properly (or so I understand - it's been a long time since I've bought a PMDG product). Look at how long it took them to port their aircraft to MSFS compared to other developers. Consider how long it's been since they've actually brought a new aircraft type to market, or how long it took them to release the universal flight tablet. As much as it pains me to say it, my feeling is that PMDG these days is not very effective at developing software.

I'm not IRL 777 driver, but I have purchased each 777 iteration since 2015 (P3D) and for a lack of alternative, I haven't been more happier.
