June 3, 20251 yr Pretty thin folks. Enjoy -B https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sim-update-16-beta-1-39-2-0-release-notes-june-3rd-2025/722679
June 3, 20251 yr SU16 for FS2020 is as useless as water in hell. What's the point really?? Just to say that Asobo is supporting the 2020 like they would?! They are not! They are full force fixing 2024 because it has been a very rocky launch and bug filled sim. Its better now but not near stable like 2020 is. Edited June 3, 20251 yr by Aviator_2024

Then by that measure they're probably focusing on the right things?

They (MS/Asobo) are not interested to really fix MSFS2020 (AI traffic, better Maps, etc.), otherwise they'll never sell one copy of MSFS2024 anymore. The day is coming to a end for 2020. Why keep utilizing resources on older tech when the market is moving in different direction. The ride is eventually coming to an end soon. So don't get upset, I purchased $100's of dollars in addons for 2020 that's just sitting there not being used, not because I want to but because since the release of 2024, I can't go back. Sure, some bugs but overhaul the best Sim out there. June 4, 20251 yr LOL, MSFS2020, as far as Jorg and Asobo are concerned, is cooked. Put a fork in it. Eric
June 4, 20251 yr Me: Let's put lie detectors on the three Asobo guys during the Developers Stream ! Tuskin38: Why? Me again: Because the post right above mine said "They (MS/Asobo) are not interested to really fix MSFS2020" And if he is correct, then Asobo telling us in every Stream that they are trying to fix 2020 would be lie. Personally I don't think they are lying. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. June 4, 20251 yr 2020 had a great run! It still works really well! There are a handful of really high end addons. I made a TON of free liveries for 2020 addons - I spent countless hours on those... but am happy to adapt my skills and do what needs to be done for 2024. Does no one remember that we had FS2000, FS2002, 2004 (FS9), FSX??? Yet people are whining about 4 years of an incredible sim... What do people expect? Free content updates/upgrades forever more? Sure it's a bit frustrating that 2024 isn't as backwards compatible as Asobo claimed, but I'm happy to support the next generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator just as I support Laminar's X Plane 12. I love what both sims have to offer and I will continue to support developers and addon developers for each! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 4, 20251 yr I'm stuck in two minds, on one side the less they "fix" the less chance there is they'll break something else as is their approach to updates. On the other side they're clearly not attempting to fix the back log of bugs & issues with 2020 when they said they would "support" it. It's more like they're doing it for the sake of doing it after they said they would, so do the bare minimum and eventually make up an excuse to stop future updates "because of 2024". So it'll be interesting what SU17 looks like...if it'll ever come! Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I love what both sims have to offer and I will continue to support developers and addon developers for each! Thanks for all your hard work, I and many others appreciated it I like many spent a ton on 2020, but so far £0 for 2024. The fact I'm waiting still for 95% of my Orbx purchases to come across justifies my decision. I'm not expecting free upgrades on everything, but many just need minimal work - especially some of the small Austrian airports that I love. I'm very reluctant to lay down hard earned cash again on what is essentially an early access title - why would I do that, it's folly - I'm not paying full price again, that's a total rip-off in many cases. Instead and for now my £££ is going into SIM racing atm, Le Mans ultimate (early access but works!), AC EVO etc and I'm having great fun with that. They really dropped the ball, not only have MS cost themselves - but also the third party developers. New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.
June 4, 20251 yr I enjoy watching people put the nail in the coffin on 2020 in a thread about a 2020 update while Asobo/MS have publicly stated they are still updating 2020 to the same digital twin earth model as 2024... Ironic LOL. The release notes ALWAYS get thinner on the Beta's as they get closer to release. Don't throw the dirt on that coffin quite yet folks... The release notes were thin in the first update when you take out the specific aircraft stuff, still waiting on fixes to items THEY broke in past updates...
