I don't remember performance being anywhere close to this beta even in 2020?

I am not talking about FPS, the frames are fine. I am talking about stuttering, and poor frame pacing.

I'm getting excellent performance on this update, the crashes are fixed and did they do something to the clouds? Looks brilliant. 777 Circuit in Sydney, FINALLY we can fly again.

Then you have a terrible memory. 2020 was also terrible approaching airports or flying over 2 hours, it turned into a slide show.

My observations

AIG appears to be working decently.

PMDG 777(F) works systems wise but PMDG have work to do with the model/texture ( See through areas in the model especially the cargo doors)

Performance is good and it appears they have squashed the finals stuttering bug. However VRAM usage remains high.

LOD issues remain and flying around the Himalayas (test flight Kathmandu-New Delhi) rounded off mountains were observed.

A good release for compatibility, stabilty and performance. A bit more work required for image quality and LOD while also holding the line on VRAM.

If you hadn't joined the SU3 beta, you need to do one extra thing. They changed it a little bit.

If you did join it, then you just need to do the steps from #4 onwards. Otherwise, follow from #1.

That's also happening with the A350. There seems to be an issue with rendering sub models or whatever they're called.

Change this as temp solution in the model.cfg of the aircraft Edit this line from true to false as follows  "withExterior_showInterior_hideFirstLod=true to withExterior_showInterior_hideFirstLod=false"

Really?

I still do pretty much exclusively long haul in 2020 and have never had an issue.   10, 12, 16 hour flights, never had a performance issue.

It was a pretty well known issue that affected a lot of people. It was bad enough that it was addressed in multiple Dev Q&As and caused Asobo to expand their testing platforms to get down to the bottom of it.

Might have been prior to when I started long hauling in MSFS and they fixed it hence I have never personally run into it...

It certainly doesn't currently have any issues with long haul and performance degradation that's for sure.

I meant that 1.5.12 is the best performance I've had in any sim, ever. No stutters anywhere for me worth talking about. And the best visuals of any sim I've ever seen. They've nailed it.
