The pause on landing has been related to a GSX issue.

  • I always find it funny when people chime in with, “I have no issues, everything runs great!” That’s great—for you. But the reality is, there are plenty of users who are not happy with the performance

  • Another one not getting it. So I help you out with it: my performance is fine with the A350. But it performs 20-30% lower than any other plane in my sim. So tell me why I should reduce the settings fo

Exactly. That's exactly it. People complained the A310 (A306?) was falling off the sky, everyone seemed to have issues with that - It never happened to me and i flew (still fly the A306) a LOT. F

Great tip, will give that a try on my next iniBuilds purchase.  I’ve been consumed with A2A Aerostar 600 lately and having a blast learning how it works.

I have no beef with iniBuilds, glad they’re an option.  I can understand other’s frustrations and also understand the revenue to cost process for modeling and software development after doing it for 40 years.

Did a tour last night with 2020 and 2024 for EGGW will report back … I don’t recall any center line alignment issues, but will double check.

It is probably worth noting (based on the lack of comments that I see on this forum and elsewhere) that the vast majority of flight simmers do not "see" these runway centreline marking misalignments. Frankly, they are obvious to me because I care about it. I am not convinced that many others do. On my PC, the first three centreline markings at the 25 end at IniBuilds EGGW Luton are offset from straight. As for the rest, I can clearly see that some have the lights on the left side, some in the middle, and some on the right. If that is not obvious to the beta testers before the product is even released, then I give up. It happens far too often in addon airport scenery products. It is an extremely easy check for beta testers (it is the first thing that I check in UK2000 airport products), so there is no excuse for it. In the case of IniBuilds LOWI Innsbruck, it is a complete mess, and so obvious that even a blind person could have seen it. The fact that they have corrected this for MSFS 2024 only is a kick in the teeth for MSFS 2020 users.

On another note, this debate about framerates is quite amusing. If I was "only" getting 70fps instead of 100fps with an aircraft addon, I would never know. That's because I never check framerates. All I am interested in is whether it is smooth or not, and (to directly reply to fluffyflops) my GTX 980Ti does a much better job than some may expect. Of course, it can struggle now and again at very large and detailed airports if the optimisation is less than perfect, or the 6GB VRAM limit is reached (I am speculating here), but overall it handles everything exceptionally well at 1080p resolution.

Just to say that I fly the A300-600F in MSFS 2020 on my 7 year old PC and INHO it's great. It runs well, looks good and performs well in the SIM.

I have ini EGLL and don't have a pause on landing using either Fenix A320 or PMDG 777

There was a GSX issue a while back where you'd get a pause on landing when it loaded in the ground service equipment. That was likely it. I forget if it was a 2020-only issue, or both sims.,

I did visit and record both EGGW in 2020 and 2024, will have to pay close attention and see if I can detect the issue you bring up.

EGGW ... don't see any hay, but do see buildings in the middle of a field ... this is MSFS 2024:

For the most part I don’t care about FPS unless it causes lag during landing which triggers over compensation on my part.  But, I do check every once in a while if I run into major stutters.  But I know some live by the FPS counter and it’s important to them … to each his/her own.  I do monitor/log FPS when testing the affects of an add-on and/or specific graphics settings, but for day to day flying rarely bring up the RTSS overlay.

As far as “pauses” on landing, I did experience that with GSX 3.5.8, I went back to GSX 3.5.6 and the issue no longer surfaced, I believe the developer is aware of the reports but I haven’t seen any update to GSX recently.  I have reported some issues with GSX, but I think it’s going to require video proof in order to get possible developer investigation (take time to put a video together).

I have seen the buildings that are in your screenshot, but they are not the ones I am talking about. There is a field short left of the runway 25 threshold that has a handful of separate houses in it on my PC (in MSFS 2020). IniBuilds have stated that these have been replaced with hay bales, but that is not the case on my PC after installing the latest update.

Version 3.5.9 was released yesterday. It fixes the stutters on landing (apparently it was linked to the new livery tool - introduced in 3.5.7 - overwriting the default pushback tug files, which in turn meant the sim couldn't load the default airport services on landing which caused the freezes).

I changed my aircraft.cfg files under Services disabling everything but jetways to solve this stutter issue. Should we change them back now that it is fixed or does it even matter?

Back again with another criticism.....

I was under the impression that the v1.0.3 update for EGHI Southampton included a fix for the misaligned runway centreline markings (and displaced threshold arrows at the 20 end), but sadly that does not appear to be the case. I am getting so tired of asking them the same question, and yet nothing gets done. It is so frustrating.

Their new KTUL scenery suffers from severe building "popping", GPU memory issues, and stutters, on my stronger rig and those with even better than mine. Buyer beware (for now anyway).
