I think that if the interiors of the terminals are visible from the apron in real life, they should be included in the sim. But areas that you cannot see from the outside of the terminals don't need to be included

One thing they can do is just release it on marketplace. I hate marketplace but getting sceneries from there isn’t the WORST in the world. They’ll have their precious encryption without the need to lo

I have reduced the file for a lot of textures without compromise the visual in this performance update that is coming very soon. For sure will help. Regards, Matteo

They just lost me forever. Orbx can now go pound sand. I would have paid $100 for this but now they’ve lost me as a customer.

Does anyone have a copy of the changelog ? I cannot find it anywhere.

We have the first update for KATL, which reduces VRAM usage and adds additional configuration options. We are currently investigating the draw calls to further increase performance, as well as other items.

KATL Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is now updated to v1.0.1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024!

Changelog:

• Improved VRAM

• Reduced package size without affecting quality (10GB to 7GB)

• Added 1 more option to the control panel (Animated GSE)

• Improved ground definition near Signature and Terminal T (South Area)

I am a bit shocked that a well known developer that has been around a while and has done numerous airports is not familiar with joining meshes in their 3D program...if that is in fact the case here with ATL. Might explain my terrible performance at KBUR...

It's not even on ORBX portal.

Those who have bought and installed it see this:

Thanks. Usually I have a red dot at the right upper corner as a notification for update.

Indeed, there was one before I installed the update.
There's a number in it as well, showing how many updates there are.
In this case, 1.

Just got the update installed. Still Vram issues right from the start and even without AI and with all options in the configuration manager turned off

What a disappointment after all these years of waiting.

Bringing down TLOD on the ground to 40 helps. In NY area, for instance, with DD KEWR, MKS LGA and INI KJFK in a vicinity I can easily use 75-95 values on the ground and 275 above 5,000ft

I'm not. They used to be a good company, but things change.
Surely they must have recognised the issues before releasing it, just by doing a quick performance test, so then why release it?

Anyway, I have been severely disappointed by their products I have bought since MSFS, and I swore I would never buy anything of theirs again, and this kind of thing just reinforces it.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I will echo the observations of others regarding this scenery. I think it looks incredible, with exceptional detail across the airport, and despite a few bumps on the taxiways, the elevation and mesh really look the part. The handcrafted Asobo scenery was decent, but this is clearly a step up in terms of visuals and accuracy. Try a takeoff on 26L or a landing on 26R and you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Despite high frame rates, I am also experiencing some noticeable micro stutters, regardless of AI, other add ons, or selections in the configuration manager such as disabling animated GSE and vehicles. I am running a high end system with a 4090 and do not get these stutters in other high density areas such as NYC and LA, even with several add ons and PSXT traffic.

This would be nearly perfect if Orbx is able to address the following -

  • Find the cause of the micro stutters and implement a solution

  • Add gate numbers to the jetways similar to other developers

  • Minor adjustments to aprons and taxiways to ensure smoothness

Have they fixed the elevation problems? Taxiing around taxiway E by the beginning of 26L and the 777 is at a 20 degree angle...!

Yeah so, I feel like this is the worst $30 I've spent in the simulator in a LOOOONNGGG time. I have a RTX5090. 64GB of DDR5 Crucial Ram, 2TB NVME 2.0 on a 7900X3D. There isn't any other airport that makes me system crawl like this. Not one. This airport runs like horse 💩 on my system.

Minor adjustments. You mean major out of this world adjustments.

Been trying to stay positive. I think it has a lot going for it, but this is the most expensive scenery I have ever bought and it does not come close to the quality I was expecting. Some of it is amazing and other parts are amateurish at best.

This needs a lot of work.

Potential is there. Hopefully they will keep at it.
