@fluffyflops  Did you, at one time, lose 5 Quid on a payware aircraft or similar?  You seem to do nothing
but bash every developer out out there!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

  • Unfortunately, the majority of the modern gaming landscape pretty much plays homage to Early Access development philosophy.  Heck, most everything is this way; cars, computer hardware, phones, et

I got some Aerosoft sceneries last updated probably about 2 to 3 years ago... And i am not even talking about 2024 combability...

MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320,  Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

Unfortunately, the majority of the modern gaming landscape pretty much plays homage to Early Access development philosophy.

Heck, most everything is this way; cars, computer hardware, phones, etc.

Ship it NOW, maybe fix it later.

It stinks but its the product life society as a whole has cornered ourselves into.

Yup the TFDi Design MD-11 "early access" marketing was prime example of such.

Don't blame the Devs there just in it to make money , you blame the community that let it happen by giving them the money and the carte blance to do it

Its been happening for years Chris

And additionally, at each alpha/beta update, which are many of course, the community happily accepted saying that's good because the product in question is well "sopported".

Take numerous examples, being the most recent the IniBuilds A350 (obviously not an airport, but the example fits very well in concept), with at least more than 15 updates in a relatively short period of time.

Fully agree with the OP.

I made a mistake in my opening post. EIKY Kerry is an IniBuilds product (not MK Studios).

The core sim should really have addressed these airport issues.  Unfortunately it’s not a priority, as evidenced by the lack of progress on the world hub concept.

You know MSFS 2026 will come along just as this version becomes stable and considered complete by the developers. Wash, Rinse, & Repeat.

Yes ive lost plenty of money on rubbish addons hence my opinion, and no i dont bash every dev, go through my posts youll see i think fenix, tolis, hifi and navigraph are fantastic for example.  Professional players in the game, not some pound shop cheap gash operators like the alot of the others

Theres tons more bad ones than good ones, but in my opinion they dont care, they just out bash some unfinished junk, wait for the sales to dry up and then do the same again or just reband/change their name

Very true. Before 2024 even hit the market, I knew it would be plagued with problems. And it was. So will the next thing. I can’t reward developers with that philosophy. So maybe FS2020 will be with me for a long while.

It’s also disappointing that 25 year old FSX had things still not in MSFS…

  • AI aircraft that flare.
  • Helicopter AI (3rd party)
  • 9 different offline voices
  • Default ATC that wouldn’t fly you into a mountain
  • Good GA traffic at small airports
  • I could see an AI model beyond 1/2 mile (LOD)

MSFS is graphically superior but there’s more to a sim than how pretty it is.

correct once they have your money and the initial sales have dropped off, they move onto the next thing.  Why waste time fixing a centre line when the kids couldnt care less about such like.  You move on to designing the next airport burger king interior eye candy for the next product once its nearly done and just about sellable,  you throw a copy to the influecers to shill and the cycle starts again. its been happening for years and alot more so since 2020 came out

Also throw into the mix the army of complelely unqualfied twitch partners that influence other young naive gamers to buy these rubbish products (and ban anyone else from the websites or streams that question or cristise the product)  This is the strategy of many things in 2025.

Its a win win for both the devs, (they make profit), and the influencers they make a bit of money. and dont have to get a proper job.

The only loser in this is the customer that can see the shoddyness of the products as Chris has mentioned.

Financially is not viable to keep making updates; 1 piracy; 2 sim keep changing; it work till it work basically; always keep it in mind; any addon life these days can be long or short; is only a matter of luck. Influencers are on all forums; majority will likely have free products or even be paid; to spam.

I wonder how many of the complainers here have done any scenery development.  An update is not just a few clicks and 5 minutes work.  More often than not attempts to fix problems especially minor ones lead to unintended changes and a supposedly quick project takes days.

So, the principle by which I sim of 'suspension of disbelief' which involves looking the other way or ignoring minor defects allows me to enjoy scenery knowing the developer has probably better things to do than correct minor faults.
