November 14, 2025Nov 14 From Just flight - Quote A quick update on the 146 Professional MSFS work, ahead of the weekend. We’re excited to announce that development and testing work on the 146 Professional v2.4 upgrade is nearing completion, with the aim of a release by the end of this month for both MSFS 2020 and 2024. The last of nine Just Flight in-house aircraft to be extensively updated and improved for MSFS 2024, 146 Professional v2.4 will be another free-of-charge upgrade for existing owners and there will be an introductory discount for new buyers. Probably the most substantial of the upgrades yet, it will bring the 146 fully up to date with its RJ Professional ‘sister’ aircraft, as well as introducing some brand-new features. We’ll soon be sharing the massive changelog, and more screenshots and video showing some of the exciting new features. I do find it interesting that PMDG says we can't possibly expect a free upgrade for '24 with all the man hours put in meanwhile JustFlight has upgraded 9 of their aircraft to native '24 spec for.. free and even included various new features for select aircraft. I don't mind paying PMDG an upgrade free but it is interesting, especially given the assumed sales volume of a 737 lineup vs lesser used F28 and Baes. Alas. To focus more on topic, this is pretty awesome and I think I might do a couple legs with this once she's out, I haven't flown the 146 in a good while.

Im a loyal JF customer exactly because how they keep improving their products after release. That's a company that know how to handle customers. Not to steal the thread to start hating on PDMG (because I don't) but I think if they really charge an upgrade fee for something with as many issues as it had upon release and months after....I might just get the iFly version. I love the 146. Haven't flown it since the RJ's were released though.
