  • It might be a lack of competence on my part in explaining, but I feel like there are little bits and pieces of info being repeated here (maybe from bits read on the web) but not really an understandin

  • As has been explained in one or more dev Q&As, this is not so. Changing the LOD rules for 2024 3D assets was an intentional design choice in order to keep performance levels high across all scales

They do not have a lot of time to fix all of the essential issues. My new PC is due to be delivered in around an hour, so they need to get their skates on

I can already see that the blurred ground textures will smoothly migrate to SU5.

Blurred ground textures?

Blurred ground textures.

Is there nothing you can do about it?

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Ah ok, bad luck then, I've never really had that. Same for 90% of the 'issues' on that list to be honest. Maybe #12 but it's not a big concern. #23 on one or two aircraft only. Oh wait, #107 - Phoenix. That is something I would vote for. Apart from that, I'm good.

Blurred ground textures though? No, not on this PC or my last build which was average even for 2020. Hope it improves for you.

Look at the second line of the feedback snapshot.

Move from a flying stool to a normal jet passenger plane and you will see everything.

That snapshot of the bugs list states October 8th yet the "blog" was November 20th, kinda pointless without an updated one so we where know where we are with these issues. (This is on them off course not you personally!)

Yep. I see this too. Ground textures are late to load compared to previous betas.

I noticed this at the weekend over the alps. I panned left and the alps took a few seconds to render sharply.

I have a gigabit internet connection, so possibly a server issue with weekend demand?

The issues with the ATC window are solved in SU3 according to them. LOL

It's that the massive FPS drop? I noticed that in the beta at the weekend, really hampers FPS in VR and that's with my new GPU!

Those dev updates are worth nothing, they are a joke and basically embarrassing them and us customers. More than five week old bug list and feedback snapshots? Seriously? @SeedyL why maintaining such pointless dev updates, you dont do anyone a favour with those...

Please, no SU4 yet.  Still plenty to do, and the feedback snapshots say 'in progress SU4' on lots of stuff.
It still needs more time in the oven, otherwise we will have to wait until SU5 and we don't know how far off that will be.

I hope at least they can tweak some of the LOD issues, and look at the slow redraw on cockpit instruments before release - this used to be a minor issue in SU3 but is loads worse in SU4 for me.  As they have made it worse with something they have adjusted, there has to be a solution for it - they can reverse whatever is causing it.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
