You must be real fun at parties 😂

In fact I am, because I have interesting things to say and stay away from stale tropes, but you still haven't answered my question.

I am happy to stick with the iFly 737 MAX, which is better anyway.

I-Fly 737 MAX 8 is not far from a significant upgrade and I already really like it. I might go for the 600 if it's priced very attractively.  I've become far less interested in filling up the hangar with '50' aircraft, I'm just not into new planes to fuel interest in simming, or whyever someone might commence to collecting a fleet of planes like that.  My interest stays up thru using Self Loading Cargo's wonderful scoring routine which adds at least some consequences in a place where none exist.  I mean to ask Steve to implement an option to create truly impactful consequences for failure to meet a minimum score for whatever reason thru and including crash:  disables MSFS 2024 start for....a week!  OMG!  No, bad idea I take it all back 😬

So lets go party ! In fact i am not even from the U.S. But here in Europe, the tipping culture in the U.S became quite laughable subject 🙂

I'm in, but I'm buying the first round!

And yes, tipping culture is pretty out of control but fortunately not as bad as you make it out to be 🙂

$20 isn't reasonable at all when most other devs are doing free upgrades and providing equal or superior products.

If you are going to charge, then something like $5 seems somewhat reasonable.

I, like everyone else here, have no idea how much the upgrade will cost.

But I know for certain it won't be $5.  If you're going to charge a token price like that, you may as well offer it for free.  Nothing in the software world costs $5.  It would barely cover the transaction fee.

I'll take a wager that the absolute minimum will be $19.99.  But in all honesty I think it will be $24.99. That has a ring to it as an upgrade price. (<-- That's my science, right there 😄)

Ultimately, we don't know. There is a scenario were $5 scales enough to cover their margins. Just last week //42 offered up Flow at a HEFTY upgrade price of $2
Despite that I think 24.99 would be pretty egregious. My suspicion is ~ $15

I'd love you to be right.  But knowing how PMDG value their brand and products, I just can't see them selling anything for $15.

Time will tell!   But I hope you're right, not me 🙂

I agree. $20 isn’t reasonable when other developers have given away the upgrades for MSFS 2024 for free.  I’m not looking for new features or an upgraded cabin, etc, for MSFS 2024. I’m just looking for a version that is compatible and won’t crash in MSFS 2024.

I would say $10 is fair.  But if PMDG spent a lot of time and money making this 737 for MSFS 2024, some of us didn’t ask for a fancy new version of the 737, we just wanted a version that was compatible and that’s all we wanted (and Fenix, iFly, and others have provided a compatible version for MSFS 2024 for free).

Agree.

Especially, in recent years, the Tip in most checks (same as "Bill" in Europe, I think...🙂...) ...for any service here ...is auto calculated, 15%, 20% etc... for convenience (even when practically no service is involved in the transaction), but fortunately there is always a "No Tip" box too.

Of course, if I use that box for some legitimate service, such as a restaurant bill, then the perception of myself there will be similar to that of a certain character in A Christmas Carol... (I was watching it for the nth time...yesterday...🙂...) ...

So, yes, (Coffee + Tip), is what some of us here will be comparing the 737NG upgrade fee to, on Thursday here...🙂...

They could release it with one square wheel and no flaps and the community would buy it

Moving on … seems clear to me what the 737 will be based on this post on PMDG forums:

IMG_0492.thumb.jpeg.7b088778e8e269f490eb75ae6ed1a803.jpeg

I’m interested to see what’s inside, sounds like considerable work effort so I’m looking forward to that.

So based on the feature list post here:

https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/378570-737-features-part-one-airco-anti-ice-avionics-auto-flight-gear-braked-cabin

I’m sure all of you have access to PMDG forums right? 😉

Seems like A LOT of work to me.
