I fly mostly in Australia, so this is great news for me.

I'll be interested to see if I will still need ORBX cityscapes for Sydney and Melbourne. Also great to see Broome airport included. I worked in the old tower there for 5 years.....great memories.

Sydney was fine.  Haven't had time to check out Melbourne yet or its new photogrammetry suburbs.

Most people don't care. It's been an issue since launch, and yet all these updates are still received warmly.

  • Are you just trying to derail this thread by bringing up a completely irrelevant issue?   What on Earth has that got to do with this thread, and this release?  Is that how you entertain yourself?

Would you please post your thoughts after you've had a look?

Would be nice if they posted a full list of new POIs

Also I laughed the sign on the Lord Howe Island airport terminal, it's all in lowercase and no spacing. I though Gaya just made a mistake, but no that is how it looks in real life.

I'm going to do Perth to Broome to check out the new Broome Int scenery.

Why? That's not their job.

Sorry, M$, whoever. It's part of their ecosystem. A little due diligence is appropriate.

This is a very impressive update to my homeland - I am particularly pleased that Lord Howe Island has received an enhancement. Even before the update I noticed that the coastline near my home town of Merimbula on the NSW far south coast was much more detailed in MSFS2024 compared to 2020

It's up to addons to be compatible, not the other way around.

I mean yes, if they release an update that breaks a ton of aircraft they'll fix it, but a couple sceneries, not really.

They were compatible - then the update made them incompatible. Isn't that the rub?

Broome looks fantastic. It really is a beautiful area. A bit has changed since I left in 2011. New tower and fire station, RFDS hanger etc.

I  had some elevation issues , but I disabled my community  folder and all is ok now. Now to trace the offending scenery file !

"Enjoy lifelike realism and visual fidelity through 40 areas of interest..."

First shot of the video: a bunch of roos among giant cardon cacti in front of Uluru/Ayers Rock!

Anyone guess what's wrong with that?

A few of shots in: a crocodile in the "Murray Valley National Park"?

Ok, I've seen enough.

Speaking of realism, you may want to check out my fix for Australia's salt/dry lakes ... unless you want to go boating in central Oz.

Broome Intl (YBRM) is really well done.

All the airports are really, but Broome is pretty.

Wow. That is really nicely done. Never fly that part of Australia. Its so far. Have to now.

Do we have a list of all the airports redone.

The airports list is included in the release article shared early in the thread.

Broome is a fascinating place.

The Sidney area is looking awesome. Can't believe how crisp and sharp the textures are. Boat traffic is all over the water ways.
