World Update 21: Australia Trailer

Anyone checking the FlyTampa YSSY? The last World update (netherlands) wrecked the FlyTampa EHAM and they (FlyTampa) are totally reluctant to provide a fix; I don't want the same to happen to YSSY

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Most people don't care. It's been an issue since launch, and yet all these updates are still received warmly.

  • Are you just trying to derail this thread by bringing up a completely irrelevant issue?   What on Earth has that got to do with this thread, and this release?  Is that how you entertain yourself?

You would think Asobo would check with major developers when preparing an update....guess not.

I'm going to do Perth to Broome to check out the new Broome Int scenery.

Why? That's not their job.

Don't care. Prefer to focus on important issues instead of worrying whether itty bitty ai toy planes have legs or not.

I always wondered why ASOBO keeps making the same mistakes over and over. They keep enhancing airports that are already done instead of focusing on other areas of importance. I'm not going to be surprised when I see double windsocks at many airports. AU has been done already, they should be focusing on the core sim.

But, it just doesn't sink into their minds. This developer is so out of touch and they simply don't care.

MSFS

Always be careful what you wish for... it might just come true! In this case very much fortunately so.

Airports look pretty good in MSFS2020.  Unfortunately I'm getting strange pink textures on many of the cone models.  I may need to reinstall.

Huddison doing a live chat with this Australia update. He did not know how Broome was pronounced.

Wow, this one is massive.  Lots of areas to explore and check out.

Will have to check to see if any of my addon airports are affeced, if I still need a couple of addon photogrammetry areas and whether all the ORBX cities still work.

Many hours of fun to be had here.  I've already had a quick flight around Sydney and all looks good here.

Note to mods: Could you please change the title to Sim Update 20 Australia Released.

==> According to the Huddison chat the Fokker VII is free for everyone for one week, only until May 12 in marketplace. <==

The aviators edition already had an earlier edition. For them this updated version is free.

Knowing FlyTampa, they don’t put out updates timely enough, any issues with FT YSSY and WU21?

Considering there’s no iniBuilds rendition of YSSY-that would rock, back to the handcrafted Asobo one for now as FT simply can’t be bothered to update theirs quickly as the FT YSSY is the only payware YSSY out there for MSFS.

Broome International Airport one of the WU21 handcrafted airports has a great interior.

Broome Intl (YBRM) is really well done.

All the airports are really, but Broome is pretty.

I fly mostly in Australia, so this is great news for me.

I'll be interested to see if I will still need ORBX cityscapes for Sydney and Melbourne. Also great to see Broome airport included. I worked in the old tower there for 5 years.....great memories.
