Good Regional Jet Option

Featured Replies

Looking for a good Regional Jet to add to my Hanger. Flights 1 hour or less north american routes. Thanks for any help. Don't know much about regional jets so not sure which type.

Just Flight has a plethora of Regional Jets, one of my favorites being the RJ Professional. The Aerosoft CRJ is another consideration as is Leonardo Software’s Maddog 20th Anniversary Edition. All good and proper small hop jets and each more than capable of keeping you entertained and busy for years to come. Blue skies,

I dont have it but the Aerosofy CRJ is said to be better than the FSS ERJ. Both are regional jets.

There are not that many options, but Aerosoft CRJ's one option. There's FSS E Jets but it's still in an experimental stage. Can't understand why they can't release a complete package. But those are the only ones I'm aware of.

If you don't mind something older can justify them on your routes the Just Flight BAe 146 and Avro RJ are great as is their Fokker F28 (with the more modern F70 and F100) coming soon.

There is a real gap in the market for a high level regional jet. It would appeal to me for sure as I'm sure it would many others.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

CRJ would be the best modern option, Avro RJ medium, Bae-146 and F28 old school. All are good but the latter three (all from just flight) are my favourites.

CRJ and avro-RJ. like both very much

The Just Flight RJ and 146 are way too fun. Forget anything airplane Aerosoft.

I never considered the Maddog regional jet because I flown it many times out of LAX, SEA and PDX to Anchorage many times with Alaska airlines. The just flight regional jets are great, but the OP ask for North American routes and I'm not sure if RJ's are still being used in North America. I may be wrong.

The RJ is a great choice.

Would not touch the CRJ or ERJ. CRJ v2 was great, but is buggy since last couple of MSFS updates and no new updates have been made.

F28 is fun but not for everybody.

If you don't mind something a little older, the Maddog MD-88 is incredibe.

What is needed is a good Airbus A220, I believe one is in the pipeline

I REALLY wish someone would do a good ERJ but FSS is basically squatting on that market with their garbage “3 years in early access” project.

I am very interested in the JustFlight Fokker 70/100 package. Those two are very definitely regional jets, and they seem to fit right in my sweet spot as far as screens/dials/autopilot/FMS are concerned. The Bombardier CS100/300 (oh, sorry......I mean the Airbus A220) is a nice plane, but I am not a massive fan of these new flight decks with massive screens, and love affairs with EFBs.
