Aerosoft is a big scam

Scam is a very strong word for Aerosoft, not really fair to put them in such a low tier.

I also think it's a strong word.

To be clear, the A330 ceo is an awful product. Some other products have not been great either.

But there's a big difference between putting out bad products and scamming people. We've seen actual scams where developers have, for example, posted AI-generated screenshots that didn't depict the product being sold, or where they claimed the product had features that it simply didn't have. This isn't what Aerosoft are doing.

  • I can't argue with you about the A330 CEO scam or debacle, but I have to push back and disagree about their A340. Their first update fixed the A340 cockpit lighting issue. I never used any mod to add

  • No, it's Toliss fault alone. Long before the release it was already clear, that Aerosoft is not a company I would partner with.

  • ??? https://www.aerosoft.com/en/shop/flight/microsoft-flight-simulator/news/ They've released 3 since launch.

It's not a scam.

It's just not as good as a lot of other products.

It's a strange combination—Toliss on X-Plane is an outstanding developer. Aerosoft has been selling hot air for years; that's why I haven't bought it, although if you want a high-fidelity A340 and don't have X-Plane, you have no other choice.

On Airliners for Microsoft, Leonardo and Fénix are the best in my book when it comes to taking care of their products.

Aerosoft have produced some utter trash for MSFS - the A330 and the Twin Otter for example, but I personally feel there's a difference between a product being a bad and it being a scam.

Course if you have staff members actively lying about the state of their products it's not going help with drawing that distinction but at least they aren't Aerosoft's problem any more.

As for the Toliss/AS A340 I love it because the system modelling of an airliner is much more important to me than any visuals, but other people prefer different things.

They actually got a bit worse after the Kok left. Who would have expected that?

Anyway, no, not a scam, just a really poor and untrustworthy developer now. They were alright during their FSX / P3D days. I loved their A320 series.

But after the Twin Otter fiasco and their mean attitude, I have vowed not to buy anything ever again from them, and I am not doing to bad up to now.

Aerosoft might have lost their reputation for making aircrafts, but they do still make great sceneries (mega airports series). I own EDDF and it is great. Really sad news that they resigned to do LFPG.

Aerosoft don't make sceneries. They jus distribute them.

What Aersosoft did in house was the A330. And that turned into a complete disaster.

And the A340-600 where they did the visual part of the add on. Which is also not as good as a it could have been.

To be pacific in the specific ocean.

To be honest, French developers were always going to get the best access to LFPG resources....just the way it is.

The systems on the A340 by Toliss is excellent. I certainly would not call this a scam. Agree iniBuilds do a better job at texturing and modelling, but for those who are more interested in the plane rather than the cabin and windows the -600 is great.

I don’t have their A330 which I understand looking at the reviews from YouTubers … Aerosoft got slammed for that one. Why anyone would buy it is beyond me…

Yes, I feel that Aerosoft kind of ripped us off with the A330 CEO. I was hoping Toliss would revive the project with their systems know how. Or someone would come out with a decent A330. I hear folks complain about the texturing of the/Toliss/AS A340, but that's not the most important thing to me with flying the aircraft. It flies like a charm, and the in-depth systems are awesome. That's why I love the plane. The twin Otter I still fly from time to time. There's nothing majorly wrong with the aircraft. It does everything I need it to do. Is it level D? No but when I purchased it, I wasn't expecting it to be.

So far all I've seen is that the flood lights are wrong (and need to be fixed with a mod) and the textures aren't good. Trying to understand how that's a scam. To be fair inibuilds has had some issues (especially at release) with some of their products which scared me off from the A340 (I still have VRAM/performance problems with the L1011, which I keep in the hangar). I would rather have systems depth and decent performance over flood lights and textures.

Except it doesn't have individual pop out gauges.
