  1. I'm pretty sure there are other setting regarding the prop that can affect idle RPM. Number of blades, prop diameter, blade pitch, and prop MOI...
  2. I guess what I will never figure out is why we have to endure these threads over and over. Most of what I have read here is baffling when it comes to rational debate. :( Considering the fact that the thread has become so far off topic and is heading to an inevitable lock anyway could a mod maybe step in and end this one?
  3. Try here...http://www.fsd-international.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl
  4. How about these?http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ps/decals_panel.html
  5. I doubt it will happen...but they do have plenty of things to sell now for the existing sims :(
  6. Select the desired part, then delete the animation keys down in the track bar.
  7. You must register with your real name. That requirement is in the User Agreement that you have to agree to while registering...this is copied from it."PLEASE NOTE: Your complete FIRST and LAST names are required to register. Registrations with just a first name or a nickname will be rejected."
  8. Are you using the proper SDK? The SDK used must match the service pack installed (i.e. if Acceleration-Acceleration SDK, if SP2-SP2 SDK). A mismatch will cause your problem...I know from personal experience!
  9. I'm using a 23" widescreen at 1920 x 1080 here :(
  10. The FSX Viking is also a true FSX model built using the FSX tools.
  11. By chance do you use a headset for anything? If so, check your main (OS) audio settings. If that is in use those sounds will play through the headset.
  12. Perhaps we could get some clarification on not only how the "Orange Tag" is assigned, but also how it can be shed. I have one, but in reality I feel that I am no longer in that category.
  13. Rule or not...seems like the right thing to do! Thanks for pointing that out :(
  14. That is true, and is partly due to the fact that I spend most of my online time there. :( As a 'Commercial Member" here I have not publicized it to avoid any controversy.I do appreciate the fact that a lot of people were willing to at least download it...it is certainly an oddball.
  15. I appreciate the thought behind this thread, but what I would really appreciate would be at least one of the 750+ people that downloaded my latest offering over the last 2 weeks here to maybe send me an e-mail saying thanks for all the hard work!I spent 500+ hours over the last 6 months building my Rutan Quickie. 3d gauges, paintkit, and it's a ghost here. What's the point?
  16. I would vote, but there is no option for "Do we have to flail this horse again?" :(
  17. Be sure to verify that your existing power supply will be up to the task :(
  18. I just tried an idea...and was right. That folder setup is right for FS9. It's possible that the instructions might be off...My guess is that you should put the files into your Addon Scenery/textures folder.
  19. I used the FS9 Socal Megascenery for a long time on FSX. It ran fine, but it took a very long time (several minutes) to load. I use the FSX version now. Loads quickly & looks much better :(
  20. The horse is dead guys...It's been flailed several times in the last week!
  21. Peter, I very much appreciate your reply.Frankly, my thoughts on the subject sadly do tend to be riding on the 'bandwagon'. I see no gray area in the topic, and as I stated in my last post I found my solution to the problem. For me it was not hard as I do have a good day job. I feel sorry for the guys that are trying to make a living doing this!Regards,Robert
  22. Gee, that's a lot of reply for the basic premise I made.Considering the fact that you probably have no idea where I come from in the developer world, or what I have worked on... you assume a lot.It really doesn't matter though, as I have gone full circle in the hobby, and I no longer have any interest in trying to make money doing this. Between getting ripped off and dealing with the other issues involved with creating & selling a product it is just not worth the effort.
  23. I honestly am baffled at how this topic can endlessly be kicked around. If I were to go into a store and walk out the door with something I did not pay for it is considered theft.Going to one of those sites to download a product that you are supposed to pay for is no different. Is it really that hard to understand?I'm curious to know how many of you have lost money on a product that was pirated.
