  1. Thanks, guys! This appears to have completely fixed the specific issues I was having, although I understand @Kilo60 to say this isn't a permanent or reliable solution. If the nighttime tile bleed-through reappears, I'll just verify the Orbx files again. Just a stop-gap till MSFS arrives. Again, thanks.
  2. You're a good man Dominique ( @domkle ). I don't care what the other jokers around this place think 🤣 Appreciate the links!
  3. Yep, @Ruisseau... watched and implemented all this quite some time ago when Rod first posted it. With all the scenery add-ons and potentials for conflict these days, I feel the only reliable way to correct this is a complete reinstall of P3D/add-ons. Certainly doable, but the issue isn't bad enough for me at this time. But, I would like to understand what the problem is.
  4. Hopping on-board with this one since I see a bit of this as well, but only sparsely. A little annoying, but livable since the new sim is on its way 🙂 Regardless, would also like to understand this.
  5. It's Black Friday in many parts of the world. Shouldn't you all be out shopping?
  6. Another very please ImagineSim KATL user here. No issues at all.
  7. The cockpit builders will surely be relieved now that it is confirmed there will be multi-screen/window support at release. If I'm not mistaken, that wasn't a certainty up till this point, but maybe I missed that. Neat to see they have their own in-house DR400 cockpit up and running. I don't see how any of the avid flight simmers in these forums aren't super psyched about all this. No doubt there will be much work remaining to fill out the flight sim down the road, but it appears this will be an incredibly advanced product right out of the box.
  8. Post-Accident Carry-on Luggage Lover This essential add-on allows you to block the aisle while you retrieve your carry-on bag ensuring people being held up behind you are serious injured or killed by the spreading cabin fire. It also allow you to simulate snapping selfies of yourself casually walking away carrying your luggage with the burning aircraft smoldering behind you. You are assured hours of fun as you try this on all your installed aircraft. $19,95 while supplies last.
  9. +1 Completely agree with this. Similar in limited respect to PMDGs Global Flight Operations. Following an actual airframe from destination to destination has some merit if one enjoys simulating real-life operations. Of course, this would hopefully also include the ability to use historical weather. We shall see.
  10. At the end of the day we're buying a 10-yr flight simulator project (at least, I hope). It will not be everything to everybody at initial release, but as the developers maintain close contact with the avid (and sometimes, rabid) simulation community, the product will certainly start morphing into what the collective wants as a whole. There is already way too much desirable technology with the pre-Tech Alpha builds to think for even a nano second that this won't be an instant buy at release. I'm in this for the long haul!
  11. I guess it depends on whether Azure determines the cloud locations and formations and then sends the computed data to the client for display. Or, maybe the client receives the METAR data and generates the appropriate cloud types and locations locally. Seems unlikely to me folks in a multiplayer session would all see the exact thing. But too much we don't know at this stage. Interesting question, though.
  12. Nice shots, Dave. Appreciate you sharing them. We have an incredible hobby!
  13. Very exciting times, for sure. Glad I still have at least a decade left (actuarial tables) to see all this unfold! 🙂
  14. Just for fun, would love the Vought F4U Corsair. My granddaughters refer to me as "Pappy" in honor of Pappy Boyington. Some of you may remember the years-old TV series, "Baa Baa Black Sheep". Loved that show and fell "in love" with the Corsair.
  15. +1000% for this plus historical weather. I like to perform actual commercial flights within the past 24 hours, so it is essential to execute the flight in the same weather as it experienced in real life.
  16. It encouraging to see how engaged Asobo are with this community and how invested they are in bringing everyone along for the ride. This is really shaping up to be what most of us hoped it would. Very, very encouraged and super excited!
  17. Please forgive me if you see me as being "that guy", but facts are facts. Their website always loads quickly for me here near Atlanta, Georgia. Always comes up quickly and the pictures and videos load quickly. I have never noticed slow speeds with their site.. Maybe I'm just fortunate and everyone else is having an issue. Anyway, just one data point for what is is worth.
  18. Envros has a point, at the end of the day a complete wipe and reinstall will always be the cleanest installation. However, I have gone the upgrade route (as Dominique suggested) on numerous occasions for family and friends as I updated their computers, and every one has been a complete success. You'll be fine whichever way you choose, but the upgrade is higher risk.
  19. Really appreciate the sentiment, Enko. Nice job!
  20. I don't remember where I had that set, so can't verify it was lowered. It was at Ultra when I just checked, and I've now set it to Max. Will just have to wait and see if this happens again.
  21. Just had my first occurrence a couple days ago with the new NGXu. Was confused to see the scenario loading again, then the flight resumed like nothing at all had happened. Hasn't occurred since. Very odd.
  22. Ya think! Flew the Piper Cub a lot at that time and was probably doing about 25-30 kts ground speed over the threshold. Surreal. But that was all I knew for many years, so to me it was completely normal.
