  1. Follow instructions by Bode in original post. Follow step by step and it worked for me.
  2. Are they SODE or default BGL jetways? The default jetways can be edited with ADE. SODE jetways will have an xml placement file in the programdata\12bPilot folder Does the update fix the DHL/Polar cargo ramp... is it at least the correct size? If they can get this one part correct I'll buy.
  3. I've not been very successful trying to use that T.A.R.G.E.T. middleware with P3D in Windows 10. Used to use it with FSX in Windows 7 and looked for updates from them and gave up. Agree with Bob... both the stick and throttle controllers work perfectly well simply plugged in and assigned in P3D. If one wants to assign buttons and switches to specific events or commands not available in the existing P3D bindings then one simply uses FSUIPC. Simple.
  4. Flashing runway textures are less likely to be a scenery conflict than an issue with elevation or mesh. If the addon doesn't have a cvx file then I suggest using ADE to add an airport flattening polygon and use that to solve any elevation problems. I've used this technique on a few not well developed addons already. It takes five minutes. Simple.
  5. I don't see where OP said he was running on Windows 7, but I have an attention deficiency. Application stops running is the definition for an application hang, and the AppCrashView will simply provide AppHang as the faulting module. My first guess is that P3D is waiting for one of the child modules (aka addons) to finish closing down. As Mike suggested this could be bglmanx64.dll related to GSX but I've not seen this problem reported recently so I'd start looking at other addons.
  6. Why bother.... ADE is free and has more features than AFX, and works with P3Dv4. I'd advise using the Estonia migration tool simply because of the very large number of problems it can cause. Basically, it's a hack of your registry with no way to undo it's damage.
  7. The PMDG B748 will accept 0.15 RNP approaches. Just can't change it until the approach is active. The NGX is limited to 0.30 nm. True that the navdata used by PMDG does not do radius to fix segments, but they are approximated with pseudo waypoints that when done carefully can do a sufficient representation for simulation. It ain't exact but it works.
  8. Also note that with dynamic lighting that the illumination depends on the scenery developer. I've got some sceneries that are beautifully lit by the taxi light and others where the same aircraft doesn't seem to have lights at all.
  9. I've never had the problems that Chris has unfortunately repeatedly experienced. Interesting. I did have an issue with some of the small parts of openLC textures being black, but running the Verify Files tool for the product fixed that pronto. A couple of years ago I had to force a reinstall of a region but I believe this to be the only issues I've had in a long time.
  10. I know the catering vehicle spawn at a vehicle parking spot.... I had a look at the Imaginesim KATL AF file after waiting a very long time for catering and added a few more parking spots and it worked.
  11. Have you modified the aircraft.cfg? What exactly is the problem you are having? What variant, -400? -400F? -400D? etc.
  12. Agree, my scenery.cfg has Scenery\World set as Area.001 and I have all kinds of Orbx products installed. Something else removed it.
  13. I have my P3D on my C:\ drive and all of the addon's on D:\ including all Orbx using a symbolic link which alone saved 220 GB on my C:\ drive. Also, if your P3D drive is also your system drive, you can save significant drive space by moving all downloaded installers for flight simulation to a second drive. There is no rule that says downloaded files have to be in the default \Downloads folders. In most cases moving each scenery item has to be done item by item except the symbolic link for Orbx. P3Dv4.4+ is highly recommended. Latest is P3Dv4.5.12.
  14. I have played with this technique on and off for quite some time and have never been able to quantify an improvement in performance or animation. I have read from LM in their forum that core 0 loading is at/near 100% is intentional. The way I look at it is that all 100% loaded means is that there is little or no idle activity, and in one way of looking at it is that the core is always running at 100%.... if it isn't 100% loaded by an application then it is partially loaded by the OS doing idle tasks. I'd rather have the core responsible for textures to be used 100% by p3d than see the OS using it for busy work.
  15. Actually, APX is the airport container and navaids can be included with airports but you'll find most enroute navaids in the NVX container. The CVX container is for things like ground polys and OBX are scenery objects. Not sure about BRX. See also FSDeveloper Forum at https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/
  16. I'm really happy to read that you are going to add this feature. Thanks!
  17. Start using LogEdit instead of your flight sim logbook/pilot records. Simple. And yes, once you edit the information and save it that becomes the new version of the simulator's logbook.bin file. Don't forget to review the user guide provided with LogEdit. The aircraft category is an 8-bit byte at offset 0x002c in the flight record, and LogEdit has no control over how the simulator platform, or the aircraft developer, set that information. I am aware that at least one popular developer seems to prefer the amphibian code (0x03) over the more common fixed wing (0x02) definition. In P3D anyways, I think it is a moot point because the P3D Pilot Records user interface doesn't even display an aircraft category for each record, unlike FSX which did and this is how you found the odd classification. I'm not going to be modifying the code that displays fixed wing for everyone but one developer that uses a different code, and it cannot be called an error because the SDK doesn't provide the details into the binary encoding for logbook.bin.
  18. Agree with Pete. I think you are expressing frustration rather than trying to help the rest of the community.
  19. I will not install DD sceneries after my experience with their New York stuff. I like the Aerosoft Barcelona but have to turn off their horrible photo scenery. Given a choice between Orbx and anyone else I'll go with Orbx. Usually blends better with the other Orbx regional or landclass products I use. The new FSDT O'Hare is pretty nice.
  20. This from my scenery list: SAEZ TropicalSim, SCEL LatinVFR, SBGR TropicalSim, SBGL TropicalSim, SEQM Flightbeam (excellent scenery). Also SBKP by Paulo Ricardo and SKBO by Virtual Columbia. Of course the Orbx South America openLC is also a must have.
  21. Does DD provide customer support? You should be able to delete his SODE files in the programdata\12bPilot\SODE folders. He likes to encrypt his stuff so look in the \sdx subfolder.
  22. The 747-8 has an IAN option same as the 737 and this means if you arm APPR before you have received the GS signal then IAN is armed and you use G/P. Don't arm the APPR until you see both LOC and GS deviation indicators on the PFD. The GS will normally appear after the LOC so wait for it.
  23. Let's try this, I've never tried Google drive share before so hope it works: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sAtdFS_FQLAASHLrRUdDb5oV13_yAvnq/view?usp=sharing
  24. I've done that in the past but I keep switching between using FSDT AF files and my own with corrected navaid data. In this case to keep it simple I've used EasyNavs from Sors to create a single GCO.bgl and toss it in the \0302\scenery bin. Just another way to skin that cat.
  25. SODE jetways needs to be enabled in the ImagineSim Ops Center. My installation went according to plan. No problems. However, I'm keeping my on AF (AFCAD) because I've fixed his errors related to the DMEs associated with the ILS. Most developers don't seem to pay much attention to the navaids.
