  1. Everyone is going to love this update, it brings so much more stability to the sim and improves it substantially. On a side note - I have tried editing trees with the SDK and I am having issues with loading up a saved build (always getting an error when attempting to load). Is this because I was using the Beta or is it a further issue on my behalf?
  2. I pretty much "fixed" my issues with server disconnection errors popping up. I turned off Rolling Cache for a while and that sorted the issue for a small bit but it came back, so I turned back on Rolling Cache but changed the location of the folder the rolling cache is saved into, I saved it onto another drive outside of the core sim folders. I also changed the size to about 40GB, since then I haven't had any connection issues, I am not sure if I am just lucky and the method I have mentioned above doesn't work, but I am quite positive that it does.
  3. Iran is by far one of the best places to fly in MSFS in my opinion, it has such diverse and rich landscapes. Northern Africa such as the Libyan desert has many duplicate textures making it look very unrealistic. I hope a WU is done for the entire African continent.
  4. I have said it many times that SU10 is the best update to come to MSFS in its entire history (two years). Since the last beta update my sim now loads in just under 5 minutes, thats from clicking on the icon on the desktop to being in the menu. I have 254GB worth of mods in the community folder for reference.
  5. I had the freeware version of LTFM and never experienced a CTD with it, but I purchased LTFM today and I personally think apart from the small dip at the start of 35R, the airport is the best rendition of Istanbul there is available for MSFS. There is no performance impact for me, the airport is nicely detailed and is a pleasure to fly out of.
  6. You can be apart of the beta any time you like, its an open beta not a closed one. I forget the procedure to install the beta, but if you look it up on Google its fairly straight forword. I was always reluctant to involve myself in the beta, as for obvious reasons, but the peformance degradation issue in SU9 and the delay in SU10 wore my paitence away. I am so glad I downloaded the beta and haven't a bad word to say about it, it is worlds away from SU9!
  7. Not with the previous beta builds and I guarentee it is even better with this build. I have spent maybe 40 hours flying in the previous build with an average day of around 10 hours in the sim. Not once did I experience a single drop in performance, those days are over thankfully.
  8. I did a total of 12 hours 30 minutes yesterday in the PMDG 737-800 and flew mostly over central Europe within that time frame - I experienced no performance degradation what so ever. There does seem to be a few stutters that were introduced in the latest beta build, some of which I am blaming on the rolling cache. I have to say since installing SU10 beta, the sim is running better than it ever has done before, I think those waiting for the official release will be pleasently surprised at how well it performs, especially over a long period of time.
  9. I can confirm that the performance is much better than the official live version (SU9). Apart from a few random stutters here and there which I am attributing to the downloading of new rolling cache files all works well. I am doing a round trip today from EPMO - GCTS - EPMO around a 13 hour shift in the flight simulator and just 1 hour 31 minutes until TOD performance is still the same as it was when I left the gate at EPMO. Average flight time is around 5 hours 30 each way and 50 minutes on the ground at GCTS.
  10. I installed SU10 yesterday and I am very glad I did. This is going to be one of the best updates MSFS has seen when its officially released in my opinion. Performance degradation is gone for me, performance in general is significantly improved and the sim just feels overall much more stable, eventhough this is a beta. For those still on the fence, I would highly recommend upgrading to SU10 beta, its just awesome and I was far too impaitent to wait for mid September for it to officailly release.
  11. Any idea what was the cause of the performance loss? Memory leak etc?
  12. I went on the Spruce Goose in McMinnville in Oregon and it is huge! They're a bit cheeky charging like $20 or so to go into the flightdeck though. With it coming to FS2020 and for free it will hopefully be very well detailed and complex enough to satisfy those of us that enjoy a challenge.
  13. All of that I do. Do all addons work, scenery, aircraft etc?
  14. CYYC Calgary EGSS Stansted OTHH Doha Hamad OMDB Dubai International MMMX Mexico City International
  15. RYR operate EI-SEV a 737-700 for training flights mainly. Virtual Ryanair should allow for the 700 for new members so they can get type rated on the 73 and then advance onto the 800. Just my opinion though.
  16. 2 weeks sounds great! I am really looking forward to the 800. Still have some credits left in anticipation for it.
  17. I had it in P34 and the amount of times I had to configure something because the marshaller was hidden amongst other things. Also the repetetive pushback, the outdated soundset that came with the pushback. Although the freeware community sorted the issues out, I expect a product to work out of the box without having to download multiple files to get it to work how I expect it to. Ok on the side of development it would take a tremendous amount of work to do such things etc. Hopefully GSX in MSFS will bring new and much improved features to the table, I may purchase it but on the other hand all I want is just a realistically functional pushback system that I dont have to open multiple menus to get to work.
  18. Ugh, it looks and sounds the exact same as GSX does in P3D. If its just another program you spend more time configuring than you do flying then whats the point?
  19. I haven't had any such issues atleast not that I am aware of. Although the Maddog takes a wide turn it easily corrects itself and flies on course as it should.
  20. Finally they are working on the performance degradation. Really pleased to see!
  21. Having the same issue right now. I can't wait for X-Plane 12 so that I can fly without having to worry whether the servers will allow me to fly or not.
  22. Outstanding work as always! Very much looking forward to it.
  23. Will MS/Asobo ever open up the weather system to be fully used by third parties? I'd like to see Active Sky for MSFS, it was great with P3D and never had any issues with it!
