  1. Hi all, Just Flight has announced on their Facebook page that they are working on yet another F-Lite aircraft- the 787. http://www.justflight.com/product/787-8-download
  2. Japan Airlines previously (?) used purpose-built 747-400D (domestic model) aircraft to fly high capacity Japanese domestic routes, lasting as little as 30 minutes as I am told. I am unsure of the exact routes though, I am afraid. On my side of things (Brisbane, Australia), there is a daily domestic 747-400ER connection from Brisbane to Sydney (1 hour). It actually lands in Brisbane from Dallas earlier in the morning and completes the service (QFA8) with the connection to Sydney. Also, from time to time, Air New Zealand sent their 747s to Brisbane from Auckland on ANZ135 (usually a 772/77W). Unfortunately though, their last 744 was retired a few days ago.
  3. Oh dear... Get well soon Dougal!
  4. 1. The Saitek yoke and pedals work very well together. Never had any issues with the combination, and works very well for GA. 2. The only thing on the Switch Panel that doesn't work by default is the alternator switch. A configuration tool comes with the A2A C172, and it allows you to get the switch working. 5. You can, but you don't have to for most aircraft. In default and the majority of add-on aircraft, you can click on a frequency in the ATC window and it will be tuned automatically. However, for complex aircraft such as the PMDG 777, you have to input the frequency manually, because the ATC window does not support such complex radio systems. But, you can still make ATC calls through the 777 once the frequency has been entered. 9. No aircraft conflicts with scenery.
  5. I'm configuring LINDA for my 777 and Saitek Multi Panel right now (downloaded LINDA yesterday... what an amazing program!). Right off LINDA, it is possible to configure all buttons, A/T switch etc just as you want to use them in the sim. However, some additional programming through FSUIPC (registered version) and SPAD is required to use the selector knob to change values on the MCP (unsure whether it is possible at all to use the selector knob on the 777). This video is for the NGX, but most (if not all) of it works for the 777 too. LINDA itself and some add-on aircraft profiles can be found here: http://forum.avsim.net/forum/424-linda/ Have fun!
  6. Great deal! I've been waiting for a Metroliner sale for some nice short cargo runs around the bush.
  7. When I'm out of ideas, I like going to Flightradar24, finding a 777 and flying that route in FSX. There's always something new to do!
  8. Also, the title was originally in caps. It should read "Carenado PA34 Seneca V Series HD FSX/P3D Released". It does look quite odd as it is now. Wonder why that changed as well as the location of the topic.
  9. Today marks the third anniversary of the NGX release. Time does fly! It'll definitely be a favourite amongst flight simmers for years to come.
  10. Carenado's latest offering is now on sale in the form of a brand new Piper twin. Looks very nice and it features a Garmin G600 glass cockpit. http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=product&correl=121
  11. Definitely! Most of the routes I currently fly with the 77L are actually 77Ws in real life.
  12. They don't have unlimited stock. XPX has never been sold in masses for such a low price (As far as I know), so many simmers decided to grab it as soon as possible.
  13. Microsoft has really been going down the past few years. Annoying how they create something new, and suddenly disregard the previous versions.
  14. Qualitywings has announced a permanent reduction of the 146's price tag- from $50 down to $35.99. However, this only applies to the download version. The boxed edition still has a price tag of $54.99. Anyway, looks like a pretty good deal when you see the level of detail! http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=qw146fsx
  15. Avoid the CS 757. It's riddled with bugs, and Captain Sim have terrible support.
  16. Canada seems to be the only country to use three dating methods (dd.mm.yyyy, mm.dd.yyyy and yyyy.mm.dd). By the way, to the OP, As hot as Australia may be in Summer, it is quite cold right now, in the middle of winter. As I write this, the outside temperature is 7 degrees Celsius (44 Fahrenheit). However, most days are relatively warm (Upwards of 20 degrees Celsius). I've been down in Canberra during the winter before; where the temperature dropped as low as -6. And for Australia, those kinds of temperatures are GLACIAL.
  17. Hi, I'm having a problem with my Saitek Multi Panel. This problem occurs whether I use the PMDG birds or add-ons based on a default panel (i.e PA A380). The problem is that whenever I twist the silver knob to select a value on the display, the lights that are on flash off and back on once for every virtual "Click" on the knob. Also, sometimes it turns off the lights that were on and turns on the lights that were off. I am using SPAD with the Saitek panel drivers uninstalled from my system. Has anyone encountered this issue and solved it? Thank you in advance.
  18. Looks great! The NEO certainly has a promising future.
  19. Hi, I've been looking for an A380 for a while now. I've downloaded the PA models and the VC, which are fantastic, but lacking in terms of systems. What I am looking for is an A380 (perhaps a PA A380 merge with another aircraft's systems, i.e. Airbus X Extended). Does anyone know of a model that is out there which features an MCDU and a good VC?
  20. 777. It's pretty much the pinnacle of flight sim.
  21. The performance impact for me is actually less than the NGX.
  22. The A350, and Airbus itself, is underestimated for some reason by many people. The A350 really is a great aircraft and it looks to have a promising career ahead of it; whether Emirates is in it or not.
  23. It'd be nice if it was released on Thursday to mark the 777's 20th anniversary!
  24. -PMDG 77W, 744V2, DC-6 -Carenado PC12NG -TFDi 717 -Aerosoft A330 -NLS A380
  25. My favourite is the PMDG 777, simply because of all the detail and systems modelling.
