  1. Hi All- Reinstalled FSX on a new machine with the specs listed in my signature, running a Windows 10 Premium 64-bit OS. Everything working just fabulously, smooth performance, etc with a number of updated current scenery, aircraft, and other add-ons installed. I have a number of Go Flight modules, al working just fine. The only problem is, after I program or load a flight plan into the Integrated Simavionics Gauges (ISG) Smith's FMC, the Go Flight MCP Pro will not track the magenta course line in VORLOC mode. It will track VOR radials and an ILS, but it will not work in NAV mode. In the past, with FSX in Windows 7 and NAV mode selected in the aircraft, my older, GoFlight MCP AP would perfectly track the flight plan entered in the ISG Smith's FMC after selecting the NAV button. Any Ideas?

    LNAV STAR issue

Hi everybody, I am experiencing LNAV issue since a few days. I was using a Flightsim yoke with autocoordination ON and read that the PMDG 777 was not designed to be flown with autocoordination ON so I decided to switch to a joystick with rudder controlled by rotating the stick. I have to say that I rediscover my 777 and enjoy it a lot. But I also experience an over-anticipation of LNAV turns when following STARs. For example, I recently flew from KJFK to SBGR and followed the ANSUG1B arrival for ILS09R. At some point, the STAR commands you to turn right almost 90° to downwind track. 5 NM before the turn, the plane starts turning and very soon I find myself way inside the turn by more than 1 NM. The plane levels off, turn left to join the magenta line, then turn right again and overshoots the flightpath. (Am I clear? Hope so... ). I must precise that: - I have the latest version installed - this problem happened AFTER I changed my flight controller. - I have FSUIPC not registered Thank you for any insight! Cheers, Alex
  3. Hello, I've just bought the 777 base back at aerosoft.com. I have a big complicatet problem, i try to tell what happens. When i start a flight with the 777 (with fmc etc.) all is great. Then i take off and and fly a bit manual later on i put on the autopilot and i engage LNav and VNav. The plane is following the route and climbs. But at one point the problems are starting: First I get a CabinAlt waring with 999999 ft. 30 seconds later i get something like a autopilot disagree so the ap, Lnav, Vnav is engaged but the plane slowly starts getting off the route, accelerating and do what it want's. At this point I switched AP modes to heading select, speed and alt hold. Still no reaction from the plane. Now i disangaged the AP and the aircraft starts spinning in the air like it has a million tons of cargo in its back. There is no control at all it just spinns around. Need help! I spended 80€ and now i can't do a simple flight
  4. Hi all! This has been talked about before but none of them have really had am answer! Recently picked up the MD80 as for I am adding MD80 routes for my virtual airline and I bought the Flight 1/Cool Sky Super 80 Pro when I configure the waypoints into my FMC and activate them like I do in the PMDG NGX however when I hit the NAV button it goes to heading hold. And when I push it again it goes to NAV CAP and instantly goes back to HDG HOLD please help! When I hit the FMS overide it does nothing! I dont like configuring the whole FMC i just tune in the VS and speed hold which I do in the NGX and it works fine! Please help I need to fly this this week! What dsoes the FMS overide thing do? -Collin Shea Thank You http://www.expressregional.com (Still working on fleet page...)
  5. Hi Everyone, First,Im sory for my bad english.. I'm using Sp1c Pmdg NGX and I have a problem with LNAV. After takeoff, I am activating VNAV,LNAV and A/P.Airplane is following LNAV path normal and smoothly. But after 5-10 minutes later,LNAV is deactivating and airplane leaving from the LNAV path. After this, I am trying to use heading for correction, but airplane is not responding to my commands :S Can someone help me about this situation? For information : Im using FSX default weather engine (updating every 15 min) its maybe about weather update ?? Best Regars.
  6. hello everything on the 747 works fine except that usually the LNAV switch does not always ilminate some times it takes over 20 tries to work, sometimes it goes right on but not usually. thanks kevin okeefe
  7. Good day, I'm practicing the GNSS approach, and I noticed that if I perform a GNSS approach in LNAV/VNAV, I don't get the distance to the Mapt in the upper left side of the PDF. I do get it if I perform the same approach in IAN. By the way, in IAN approach, the distance is given with a single digit. Should not there be a double digit precision, like 6,3 NM ? Here I just get 6NM, sound a bit weird, I will double check in the real plane tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your assistance and congratulation for this great sim. If you could just update the FMC to version 11, it would be awesome Florent

    p3d LNAV issue

Hi Folks, I just have found in the SP1 the LNAV problem has been addressed, but for me on p3d v2.5 the 777 is still chasing time to time the LNAV track. When it starts then it goes to an endless oscillation, I would need to select HDG or direct to WPT. Am I missed something or it is still a valid point under p3d? Thanks, Tibor
  9. Hi chaps, The other day I was flying the PMDG 737ngx 800 from EGKK to EGCC, to land on runway 05L using STAR DAYNE2A and transition DAYNE. This approach leads to crossing MCT at 3000 feet on track 233 degress, then turning left onto 188 degrees and then turning right through 180 degrees to intercept the localiser for 05L. I was flying with LNAV and VNAV at the time, and the aircraft decided to turn left instead of right to pick up the reciprocal 008 degrees. The reason was fairly obvious, the system cannot know which way to turn when going on to a reciprocal heading! I guess it might have been better to have disconnected from LNAV and flown manually or to go into MCP HDG mode, and set the heading to just less than 008 to force it to turn right? What would the normal practice be, perhaps to fly the whole approach in MCP HEADING and MCP SPEED mode, or fly it manually? I would be interested in any comments. Best wishes, Dennis Hickman
  10. Hello, I am just wondering, has PMDG fixed B777's LNAV's overshooting issues yet? I've been observing many overshooting instances but today, I was on 'TRK SEL' 20 degress angle to intercept a Magenta CRS. I was waiting from 1.0L, 0.9L, 0.5L, 0.3L until..... Guess what, It reaches 0.0 then It begins turns to intercept. Does anyone have suggestions to fix this?
  11. When input the next waypoint in the FMC after flying vectors it is accepted and executed, but the solid track in ND only appears after that waypoint. No track is indicated to the waypoint and LNAV will not track. If I arrive at the waypoint using the Heading Select and am on the solid track as per the ND it still will not track the course when LNAV is selected? If I fly the same flight with the 737 NGX there is no problem at all. The flight is the Loop 6 departure from KLAX where you fly outbound to the 15 DME from LAX and then turn left and climb to 10,000A over LAX. LAX is the waypoint I input and execute.
  12. Hello everyone! I have not found any similar threads to this, so I am starting a new one right here. It seems like that the PMDG 777 is not 100% accurate when flying in LNAV mode. I know that there are inaccuracies sometimes, but when I am flying in the real Boeing 777 Cockpit the airplane keeps 0.0 NM even when performing an 80 degree turn in China. Also, having talked to numerous 777 pilots, they are all telling me that the aircraft hardly ever gets "off track" more than 0.1 NM L/R. However, in the PMDG I usually get about 0.1 NM to even 0.7 NM L/R on sharp turns. (like overshooting). Wind data is inserted and all weights in the PERF page are all correctly inserted. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Thanks in advance!
  13. So I keep getting the error in the FMC saying that I'm not on an "intercept heading" when I'm trying to re-engage LNAV in the air after having to manually set the heading because of ATC. Once I want to get back to my flightpath and re-engage LNAV, it keeps spitting out this error no matter what. I read this in the Introduction pdf: But I guess I don't understand what it's saying or perhaps I'm trying to re-engage it incorrectly because no matter what I do I keep getting the same error. I set the plane on a heading that will see it cross the course but still no dice. Any help with this? Thanks so much.
  14. We PMDG supporters are begging for a CRJ 200, but that dream may never happen or at least take 2 or so years to happen. If all we want is a CRJ could PMDG create a PMDG quality VC for the FSX CRJ 700? This would satisfy me and possibly kick start the development of a CRJ family. I just wish to have a CRJ that has LNAV, VNAV and all the buttons, knobs, switches and etc working. Nothing to special. I know there are products on the market for such issue but none are high quality and that is what I need.
  15. HelloFirst, I want to apology for my poor english.I have a very annoying problem with the LNAV and VNAV autopilot in PMDG 737-800 NGX- I set the flight plan, climb detail information etc. to FMC.- Enable the both FD and ARM the autothrottle, LNAV an VNAV before take off- Proceed take off with TO/GA, after a while about few feet above ground, the VNAV engage (button green light on), and later LNAV engage (but button light is off)- I am enable first CMD A autopilot, then LNAV- But first waypoint in SID procedure LNAV autopilot didn`t make it (LNAV disconnect), I am trying enable again LNAV but he ALWAYS disconnect after very short time (2 - 10s), VNAV follow- OK, then i fly manualy to last point of SID, again engage LNAV and VNAV, short time work, but very soon problem is repeate- later before slight turns (10°) between waypoints in cruise flight level LNAV again disconnecting.I try same flight route with same airporports and every time is a same problem (but always little different, in time especially). Once time, the LNAV and VNAV works almost fine, another time is a horrible.I`m study original flight tutorials, view many videos and this is not to be happend (i hope so). Please help, I don`t know, what I`m doing wrong.Thank YouSten.
  16. Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I tried to search it but didn't really find anything useful. During my climb between 5000ft - FL 200 LNAV was getting frequently disengaged for some reason. I noticed that every time it disengaged after a turbulence as the plane was shaking sidewise. I do not have any weather add on and I was only using standard fsx realtime weather. So is it normal for the LNAV to get disengaged after a turbulence? On a separate note, during another flight all on sudden my auto pilot stopped working even though I didn't sign up for any emergence or failure. I had to deploy the second autopilot to get the plane on course. Since then the primary autopilot didn't work throughout the flight...is there any reason? Did I do anything wrong by mistake? Thanks in advance for your help. Ronnie
