Hi! I just switched from FSX to FS9 and I am LOVING the performance gain so far! I could barely get 10 fps in high density scenery areas in FSX, and in FS9 I am getting over 30 fps. The only thing I miss is the accuracy of the roads in FSX. In FS9 the roads can only be made out when you're above 1000 ft, and I don't believe they are accurate to the real world locations. I saw a program called Ultimate Terrain USA for FS9 advertising that the roads are in their real world locations, but the program doesn't have much publicity and most of the reviews I find are for the FSX versions. Does anyone know if the road accuracy is true and if it's worth the upgrade to UT USA? Also, how was your performance impacted? I am just able to keep above 30 fps in big aiports and anything lower than around 20 fps would be a little bit of a drawback. Any screenshots of UT USA FS9 would be GREATLY appreciated! B) If you need more information, I would be glad to add it! Thanks! Hi all. I recently purchased all three sets of FS Global Ultimate and also the P3dv3 mesh installer available from PILOTS. Using the mesh installer program I installed FS Global Ultimate Asia & Oceania first. After this process had finished and the PC had rebooted, I loaded P3dv3 as normal, and as expected, it started building the scenery base. It took about a minute or so to complete this process, so this part was as expected. The problem was that the scenery hadn't changed a bit when I loaded set my start location at Provideniya Bay, Russia. I then closed P3d and restarted it with the location set to Murmansk, Russia. Again no change from the default. I then looked at the "scenery.cfg" file to see if it was referencing the correct file location. It was (D:\FSGUX\ASI). Exactly the same thing happened when I installed Europe & Africa. I loaded a flight at Kigali Intl, Rwanda, and another at Bole Intl, Ethiopia. No change from the default scenery mesh. P3d does take a bit longer now to load as would be expected if the meshes were installed correctly. The only other scenery addon I have installed in P3d is MyTraffic 6.0, however I changed the priority of the newly installed meshes above this after trying to find what is causing this, and then unchecked this from the scenery database altogether. I then uninstalled both FSGU's and then reinstalled them. Nothing, so far, has solved this. I must add that this is also occuring in my installs of FSX, and FSX-SE. It is almost as if the data files are corrupt, however I can't understand how this could be the case. And yes, all my scenery sliders are maxed out. PC specs - Motherboard - ASUS X99 Sabertooth CPU - Intel i7-5930k (NOT OC'D) Storage config - 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD for OS and 3TB WD Caviar Black HDD for everything else (FSX, P3d, etc) GPU - Nvidia GTX 960 (yes, I do intend on upgrading this for a 1080ti !) OS - Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Thanks in advance for any help, and it's all appreciated.

OK...so I got all the ReShade and PTA, URP and P3D issues worked out with the help of the wonderful AVSIM forums. Been playing around with peoples presets, and I like all of them...to varying degrees...but having trouble settling in on one. So, take a look at the pics, and lmk what you like best! The presets are from either AviationLads (http://www.aviationlads.com/my-settings/), Pilot Pete (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10nPl-ydnBc), or the FlightBeam Visual Pack (http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2647). In all of the presets I have my settings the same in P3D and am getting a solid 30-50fps on the ground with PMDG aircraft at FSDT JFK, and 40-60fps in the air. I have fps locked to 65 in the nVidia inspector tool. I can share my settings if you want. FlightBeam Preset Aviation Lads Cold Season preset Pilot Pete: My thoughts are that Aviation Lads and FlightBeam are the top contenders. Pilot Pete is good but a bit bland for me, although it looks much better in his pics I think thats cause he has tons of addon scenery like ORBX, etc, and does a lot of VFR low flying. LMK what you think! Also, if any of you know the settings to reduce the brightness on the sun hitting the aircraft without turning down overall sim brightness...lmk too :) Have a great rest of the weekend!

I was thinking of buying a 737 overhead panel, and was comparing some of the different products being offered. I looked at the scaled-down VRInsight V737 Overhead, plus kits from other manufacturers, and stumbled on the ultimate flight simulation experience. I warn you, DO NOT CLICK on the link in this article if you are happy with your current flight deck - because this kit is a game-changer. Quite reasonably priced at below 300,000 Euros and available for immediate delivery! Be sure to expand the image to full-screen view! Seriously? I want this sooooo bad!
