July 14, 201213 yr I will be 72 this coming August 2012 been simming seriously for about 7 years. My wife now loves what I do because she always knows where I am LOL.............John
July 31, 201213 yr I am 56 going on 14. I have been simming since 1987. Back then you had to use your imagination when it came to scenery details or what livery your plane had on it. Flight simulation was fun back then, but it is so much better now.
August 2, 201213 yr I'm 71 now. Been using flight sims since sometime in the 80's, stand alone. I've been flying online since '92 with Air Warrior on the old GEnie network. Paid $6/hour to fly...$12/hour 'prime time'. Many a month that I had a $600-$700 credit card bill from my hours in the virtual skies! Today it is so inexpensive once you have the system that will support your sim of choice. Pay your monthly ISP bill and fly on one of the many MP servers to your hearts content. Kids today just don't seem to realize how lucky they are! ^_^ Paul ( I also walked to school, uphill, in the snow, both ways!)
August 2, 201213 yr It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. If I tell myself enough times, maybe, just maybe, I'll believe it! 71 and 2 days. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
August 2, 201213 yr It's not how old you are, it's how old you feel. Oh Oh! The older I get the harder it is to feel anything. My legs are generally asleep, my hands are numb and except for an itchy nose, I usually feel nothing but sleepy. What does that mean? :lazy:
August 3, 201213 yr I don't like the way this is going. Close this thread before it gets any worse. :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
August 4, 201213 yr Oh Oh! The older I get the harder it is to feel anything. My legs are generally asleep, my hands are numb and except for an itchy nose, I usually feel nothing but sleepy. What does that mean? :lazy: It means you are spending WAY too much time in front of the computer. Set the autopilot and go for a walk!
August 13, 201213 yr Flight simming since early eighties. Must have been FS 2 or 3. FSX on a high end machine nowadays. I'll be 70 in a couple of months. Divide my time between Flight simming, my BMW moto and the d**m lawnmower. Schnelle Autos, schöne Frauen und deutsches Bier ! "Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity."

August 19, 201213 yr Finally I feel YOUNG at a mere 61 - 62 in DEC. Been simming since we used our ATE rack (at King Radio - Olathe,KS) and monitor to fly some polygon-only "plane" with a clicking sound for an engine..then Bruce Artwick unleashed Flight Simulator under the SubLogic brand for Commodore 64..oh boy..what a deal THAT was the reason I bought my first PC the C64..I haven't landed since!! BTW my oldest son now 42 and I did a lot of bonding around that C64..oh yeah 300 baud and 5 digit Sprint codes...the era was BBS's <-- remember???
August 19, 201213 yr Anyone remember Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Simulator? I remember that in high school many moons ago (has it been more than 20 years already? Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
