December 11, 200916 yr DJSorry for the misunderstanding, I have been referencing the 757 in my replies, I missed your 130 reference. No problem Jay, thanks for clearing that out.Dan
December 11, 200916 yr Just got the c-130 All in One Pack, 727-100 base and 767-300 base packs for ~USD 45.00! Unbelievable deals considering I paid about the same for the QW 757 alone! The models are FANTASTIC and all are performing well on my mid level system esp the 727 and C-130. Run, don't walk to this sale!!Only 22 hours left :( !Alex CI just got 3 aircraft to for about the same price....and to think my wife spent the same amount on some xmas trinkets tonight that will be useless in a couple weeks.. :( Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 11, 200916 yr Well I just bought the CS 767-300 base model this time. During last year's sale I bought all their variants of the 757 and C130. Now I'll see if I can make this 767 fly after sticking my nose in the manuals. But first impressions are not so great. I am not sure I like what I see as well as the Level D 767. It's a mess. I don't wear old grubby clothes when I go out, or drive a filthy junker, or live in a run down dive, so why would I want to sit in a dirty worn out looking cockpit in a dirty poorly maintained simulated airplane? I did not like the 757 for the same reason, so I guess I should have looked harder at the screenshots. Oh well, I can hope that someone will have clean repaints, and a cockpit paintjob. Each to his own, right?Stephen :(

I like the reality aspect but as you mention-to each his own.. :-lol Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 11, 200916 yr I think I have everything for FSX. Too bad I can't join in the fun!As for the "well lived" look of the cockpit, it might grow on you. It adds to the atmosphere for me.

I like the reality aspect but as you mention-to each his own.. :-lolLOL, when I first started my flying lessons I couldn't believe how nasty and worn out the interiors were of all the 152's that I trained in. I guess before I ever flew a plane I expected the cockpits to look like the interior of a newer rental car. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
December 11, 200916 yr Well I just bought the CS 767-300 base model this time.same here. though I wanted to add the -200 expansion and obviously clicked the AWACs pack. :( Well. My bad. Also, I bought the weather radar and then noticed that it is already included in the 767 base pack. reading helps sometimes :( anyway, hope to add the weather radar to my remaining fleet then.PhilEDIT: Installed it on my office laptop and I have to say I am very pleased with what I see. Performce in 3D cockpit is very good. I LOVE the weather radar (though included, see above :( ). Too bad I have no joystick in the office. Could fire it up and lift off but then I had no controls and stalled B) Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
December 11, 200916 yr I've now finally become a Captain Sim customer, with the 767 base-pack. Looks good - even the scruffy interior :( - and in the nano seconds I had available to check her out before work intervened, seems to handle ok. Framerates are reasonable on my newly-constructed system, so all is looking rosey in the garden.. I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with the manuals over the weekend.Would I be correct in thinking the LDS 767 is still the more comprehensive product in terms of systems fidelity?Ian
December 11, 200916 yr Almost bought the C130, but then I thought, "Meh, I'll probably won't even fly it that much, and besides, I don't want to spend money", so I emptied my basket and shut down the browser. For the rest I have all CS products that interest me, so I don't really have a reason to buy anything right now... December 11, 200916 yr Moderator Well, so far out of the C-130 Full pack, the 727-100 base and the 727 freighter, I have them all downloaded but the only one installed so far is the 727-100.It's 5:30 in the morning and I still haven't been to bet yet because I have had a blast with the 727-100, hadn't even installed the freighter yet.The 727 from what I have done so far is a pleasure to hand fly. Just did a quick trip from Tucson to Phoenix basically VFR the whole way since i hadn't even really read the manual. What I can say about the 727-100 for those who haven't bought it.1. Flight model seems very fluid and not to light, but not really heavy either. About what you would expect from an a/c this size.2. The night lighting is excelent with all kinds of different cockpit lights that you can turn on. Not just one on/off like some a/c.3. About 9 or so capt and flight attendant cabin callout4. Lots off different pre programmed view points for the interior and exterior5. Sound pack for the engines, reversers, nobs, swithces is very good imho6. The most important **** NO IMPACT ON FPS OR PERFORMANCE***** in fact this thing in the VC seems to perform about the same as the default a/c at least on my system anywayI could go on and on, but so far this has been one of the best $15 I have spent on an addon plane ever. It not only meets but EXCEEDS my expectations. If you were on the fence for the 727 or have been considering it, I would recommend it highly. I am a lilttle surprised after all the bad things I have heard about Captain Sim products, but this one so far seems really good. Although like I mentioned I didn't use the autopilot yet or go thru the systems, so something may pop up that doesn't seem right, but so far so good. After I get a few hours of sleep I will install the freighter and then the C-130. If they are as good as this I may be on the sim all weekend. Better give the girlfriend some money to go shopping or something so I can sim. :( Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Each to his own, right?Stephen :(Stephen,Sure, each to his own, but just to add my 2c; working for a major European airline, having been in lots and lots of airliner cockpits, including the 767 which we once owned (now superseded by the A330 (now guess which airline I work for :( )), I can state that only the brand new, fresh out of the factory, just delivered aircraft have the spotless cockpit you desire. Flightdecks from even 1 year old airliners start to look a tad worne, let alone the one that are 10 years or older. Since this is in no way related to flight safety and (most) passengers don't get to see it, airlines do not spend money on refurbishing the cockpit as long as it does not affect the functioning of the pilots.So... CS went for a realistic approach when they created the 767. Regards, Frank van der Werff
December 11, 200916 yr That's for people who bought the original release 757, which had no systems, back when they used the block system Block B. Block F was to be the systems module. Since then they dropped the block system and just sells the Pro Pack and expansion packs. To honor their commitment, the Block F upgrade is essentially the upgrade to the pro pack for those that bought early. If you don't already own the Block B 757, the Block F upgrade is not for you. Just go ahead and get the pro pack.Looking at the 757 in the product store, there is no 'Pro Pack" available, just a "Base Pack". Can anyone confirm that the fully functional FMS is included in the V. 4.4 base pack? Tim Hughes

Just to elaborate, CS replaced the Pro Pack with the Base pack, when they dropped their Block system concept. As was stated, the Base Pack includes everything that the Pro pack had. Same for the 767.
