CaptainSim Sale

Featured Replies

I see they are doing their 9.99 (EURO!) sale on 12/11. Anything worth getting? I know they are dicey when it comes to support and there are a lot of CS bashers, but 9.99 for a product that normally sells for 39.99 ya gotta look right? The 757 looks sweet but I remember hearing a lot of complaints about bugs. I don't wanna waste money on something just cause it's cheap. Nothing more frustrating than wasting a flight on a buggy bird. Would rather stick to the F1 and PMDG stuff I know works! Anyway... anything I should pounce on? Thanks, EddieKABQ

The 757 has been nicely "debugged" in my opinion. It is really a nice bird now, and a steal at that price. I say "pounce away!"Paul

The C-130 Pro Pack is a must. I picked it up last year when they had the sale.Jim

I have both the 757 and 727 and dont fly either due to bugs. I will no longer buy captain sim products even if they are 99% off.

The 757 is perfectly bug less in my opinion with the recently released 4.4 update. The 767 is also fantastic. The C130 pack is a MUST. Their Xload F18 is also good. I haven't tried the 727, but I am sure it is perfectly what you are looking for if your into retro jets. My recommendation: 757, 767, and C130

How is the 727? For 15 bucks usd that cant be too bad right?

Grab the 727 and C-130 packs. They are both excellent and among the better addons for FSX.Avoid the 757 and 767.

I already have the C130 - and it's ok. Glad I only spent 10 bucks on it. It could be my hardware - but that thing doesn't fly quite right at all. I watch these guys at work do maneuvers and they can really crank those things around, something I cannot achieve in FSX. Even with proper rudder, one 90 degree turn takes the entire state of MN lolI LOVED the Dreamfleet 727 for FS9 so maybe I'll get the CS 727 for X

I rate the jets from great to less great this way:727767757The C130 is great, too.I still have occasional very slight rocking problems with 4.3 in the 757, and 4.4 was completely broken for me. Many people report no problems, though. Go figure.

The C-130 will keep you busy. It is an incredible beast. Also the Xload package is great if you want to have some Marine F/A-18D flying. I can echo the responses for the 757 and 767 and 727s.Keith

The 727, 757, and 767. At 9.99 Euro, you could get ALL of them and it would still be less than the 767 alone. LOL

This is only frustrating because I just paid $38 for the 727 Pro Pack. I love it. Would do it again.

Yes, you can tell when Captain Sim is going to have a sale because it is 48 hours after you just bought something at full price lolProbably coincidental that Quality Wing's 757 just got released ;-)

Where is the info on the sale for 12/11?I just went to their site and didn't see anything about it. Is it for all products? Are there restrictions on how many products you can purchase for that price?I would buy the C-130 and the 727 if you are allowed to get both for 9.99, even though I might end up not using them too much.

If I remember, you are an FSX user correct? You would be fine with either or both of these aircraft. I particularly enjoy the C-130 Xperience.Keith
