July 15, 201015 yr Dear Mr Randazzo and his PMDG partners,I've seen a lot of posts regarding PMDG's rumored closure, since Randazzo ran a campaign for the Nevada Governor elections. Is this true? With kind regards,Dave "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO

July 15, 201015 yr Guys... All that serious siming makes You too much serious. Can't You really distinguish a joke? If I say that the world is going to end tomorrow will You open thread about it on NASA forum? ;) C'mon people...
July 15, 201015 yr Commercial Member Guys, NO.The election already happened, one of the other candidates won. Even if Robert had won, we were not going to shut down. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 15, 201015 yr Commercial Member Gents-The rumors of my demise are largely exaggerated....(Yes- this is officially the dumbest rumor I've seen in this forum. :( )There isn't even the slightest hint of truth to this story about PMDG shutting down. It sounds like the wishful thinking of those who can't keep up with what we are preparing for your simming pleasure. Seriously folks- lets put an end to the idiocy. I ran for office here in my home state because I am so darned tired of the career politicians making a hash of things. Unfortunately for the staff that ran the campaign for me- I lost... Got my arse kicked, actually. :( On the other hand, seeing the political system from the inside was eye-opening, to say the least- and reinforces quite strongly what a great work environment I have here at PMDG. Losing an election isn't much fun, but at least I've earned the right to gripe about incumbents!Win or lose- PMDG would not have changed much, as the company is far more than just "me." We have grown significantly over the past two years and we currently operate two full development teams working on multiple projects...In fact- I think Vin barely noticed I was missing for about 18 months.... He was disappointed to find out he'd missed out on all that opportunity to goof off!At any rate- I'm back to work creating insidious and sadistic failure scenarios for the bleed system on the NGX... Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
July 15, 201015 yr At any rate- I'm back to work creating insidious and sadistic failure scenarios for the bleed system on the NGX...You have a creative mind when it comes to how to screw things up. It's probably a good thing you lost the election because, with talents like that, you would have easily become one of those "career politicians" you so loathe.-Steve Perry Steve Perry PMDG Beta Team
July 15, 201015 yr Sorry to here about the election RSR. are you still flying planes then or have you landed or good?Cheers Dylan Leonard

July 15, 201015 yr Commercial Member :( On the other hand, seeing the political system from the inside was eye-opening, to say the least- and reinforces quite strongly what a great work environment I have here at PMDG.If everyone took the time to see how the different branches of our government actually work, from the inside, I think they would be blown away, and, like you, want to do something about it. I highly respect you for trying to make things right. Noah Bryant
July 16, 201015 yr Commercial Member Gents-Thanks for the compliments. I've always felt it is important to take on new challenges now and again to keep you fresh and vital. This was one of the larger challenges I've undertaken- and it was a TON of work. I met some really great people, was involved in some fascinating discussion on our state's future- and I met some incredibly talented people who are trying very hard to change the status quo.I also met some complete freaks, individuals more concerned with heaping glory upon themselves than in finding solutions, and others just concerned about keeping their own sweaty grip on the levers of power. It was a fascinating experience I wish you all could see from the inside at least once in your lives! As for flying: I have no intention to stop flying. The flying I do now is purely for pleasure. I have the SNJ6 out almost every weekend now (SNJ is a navalized T-6 for those who don't know) and I am currently looking at getting rated in the DC-3... Who knows... maybe a PMDG DC-3 flying around the air show circuit sometime in the future? Would be a fun way to meet some of you! :-DAs for airline flying- I think those days are behind me now. As much as I would love to hook up a job with Cathay, Atlas or Emirates- I just don't think the lifestyle would be a good choice for my lovely wife and our little girl. And it certainly would slow things down at PMDG- and we can't have that... We are finally getting up to full speed! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
July 16, 201015 yr Nah I don't think he would leave in anyway, he can't live without us and the tons of weird stories he sees in this forum. He would just never be the same ^^ Robert, you are still doing air races right? maybe when I get a breach on my tight budget I could leave my little house here in Toronto to watch one of your races, I think it's a nice way to thank you for the hard work you've been doing for the last few years. July 16, 201015 yr OMG Robert has a SNJ. I would have a heart attack if PMDG ever graced it. It is by far my favorite aircraft. I would pay hundreds of dollars for it if I had to. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
July 16, 201015 yr Commercial Member Robert left PMDG 3 years ago and joined Level-D Simulations. Robert is the sole reason Level-D haven't released the 757.... ;) The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
July 16, 201015 yr Glad to hear Mr. Randazzo! You will never know the outcome until you try and in your case you lost but you tried and that's all that matters. On the other hand, there are a lot of gullible people since I only one person said anything about PMDG closing which isn't true! I hope you(PMDG) can release the 737 by the end of summer and I can't wait for the last surprise PMDG hasn't yet announced yet. Maybe Mr. Randazzo was hinting at a DC3? LOL:)
July 16, 201015 yr I love the T-6! Especially the sound of them as they streak low overhead at air shows! I fly out of KFCM and there are at least a few T-6 Texans based there, and I see them flying around a lot, in formation. Very cool.Hmmmmm.... a PMDG T-6/SNJ??? I would buy it!-m@ Matt Salo - Minneapolis, MN, USA (KMSP & KFCM) - My Flight Blog * PP-ASEL / 1981 C172P & 1982 C172P * Virtual Pilots Association
