November 3, 201015 yr Hi simmers. I think this is my first post :(. I don't know what's going on in here about release date and other stuffs. But I know I will buy the NGX even if it's out in 2014! I have a questions for PMDG; sorry if this is not the place, but : When will you make an airbus addons like the a380 or a320? And also if anyone needs a designer for their fs projects whether it's scenery design or aircrafts, I'm available with great modeling talents! ST Sagga Toure

November 3, 201015 yr Certain people here (who've been removed) are lucky we have thicker skins than they apparently do...If they have been removed, what would be unlucky then? But the real reason I post,I do understand how hard it is to monitor a forum. Had the job elsewhere, and I quickly found out I did not have the chops for it. I still think RSR's sticky should be removed, not for my sake, nor for those who regularly show up on this forum, but for those who check in from time to time to see what is happening with regards to the NGXs development. It may be funny to those who are familiar with the situation, for those who are not, it is like a Kansas City Shuffle. November 3, 201015 yr Ryan,I don't want to stir things up but use your own words instead. On April 6, 2010 you said on this very forum this (easy find): As we said when we announced the 777 and Dash 8, those were our own internal target dates, not any kind of a promise on actual release dates. Those will change, there's no question about that. What we're not talking about here are delays of years or anything like that - the NGX is a 2010 product for sure and we'll do our best to get the 777 out quickly after it. One thing to take into consideration is that a lot of the ground work for the 777 is being done with the NGX too - the modelling techniques, the FMC etc are all quite similar and parts of it will be reused - that saves us a lot of development time.(Mine bold type). So it is one thing to say "we never announce release dates" (such policy makes perfect sense, btw) but another to slip a "guarantee" like this which may be impossible to met. For me - I don't care about release dates, it could be 2012 as well. Michael J.

I know it's hard waiting for the best add-on ever made for FS (I truly believe it'll hit that mark), but come on people. You should know how this works by now.
November 3, 201015 yr Commercial Member All I can say is in reply to Ryan's post,I speak on behalf of a few peoples , and say i would greatly apprciate it if you did push for a 2010. , but we all know you cannot release a faulty product. This is not a beg for 2010, it is just joint hope! :) What would be lovely jubberly is some of these "exterior" shots to wet our appetites Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
November 3, 201015 yr The only thing that (IMHO) can keep people a little more patient and satisfied is by posting more updates. Perhaps some external shots or some in-debth descriptions of the cockpit. Maybe once a week something very small. No need to be a big update.
November 3, 201015 yr Commercial Member Robert was half-joking with his post last night, but seriously guys - we go through this EVERY SINGLE TIME we release a product and it's like some people never ever learn.Yes. You do. Even after watching the 744, MD and this release, I couldn't tell you what the best approach is for those smart enough to have gotten the vague-release-date-subject-to-change hint (blatantly placed on a billboard, rather, but I'll joke and call it a hint). Some get it from the start, others after the first reminder, and others still after watching at least one release. Those who haven't gotten it by now are either don't pay attention, are new, or are trying so hard to pull words out of vague statements that they'll end up ruining the vague release statements that we seldom get even now.Back to lurking in this section and supporting the other sections for me.Kyle Kyle Rodgers
November 3, 201015 yr Commercial Member Michel,I shouldn't have said that in April, you're right. Then again, we did actually believe that then and you know what - it may still happen. I didn't say anything at all about it definitely not happening, please remember that. We want this out yesterday, believe me. We haven't released a major product in close to 4 years now - this product is a big part of a lot of people's livelihoods, we want it out the moment it's ready, trust me. November 3, 201015 yr Ryan,I just thought I'd ask is there anyway you guys could maybe do slivers of the outside like you did for the VC? I'm sure you already have planned what your gonna do, just thought I'd ask. Looking forward to the release, I know this will be one of the all time best.Mike Davey 777 Mike Davey 777 Windows 64- Intel ® Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz, 4.00 GB Ram Ge Force GTX 460
November 3, 201015 yr Trying to move the general crowd away from the, quite frankly, boring subject of release dates, anyone care to take a guess on how much bandwidth us guys will clog up on release day? I can imagine PMDG are preparing for this, and giving their ISP lots n lots of money! I hope my download window will show 600kb/s rather than 20!! :(After the DCS beta release and subsequent patch, I'd love to see them torrent the download. Should be plenty fast then! Jeff Hepburn

Its got to be one of the worst parts no doubt. I mean think of it this way, Its like trying to monitor a bunch of guys at a bar whilst designing and building a complex piece of machinery in front of them....sure the night starts off wonderfully (this is when the NGX forums started) conversation starts off civilised and intellectual and everyone is happy and excited having a great time...... but as the night goes on the guys get more drunk and the conversation gets off topic, gets twisted and to some extent irrelevant not to mention repetitive (pages 10 to 95 of the View Forward with the PMDG 737NGX, pages 10 to 43 of Some Dirt on the NGX and pages 10 to 21 of So how does the PMDG 737 NGX compare)........then the night takes a turn for the worst when the guys start giving each other sh&t, call each other names and fights start to break out (which is about where we are at right now) all the time you are trying to finish your project. I guess its a necessary evil that you have to monitor the forums but customers and potentional customers are all going to speak their minds on here whether they are positive, negative or in different and some will bang on about topics which are either not popular or which they wont get an answer to (for a number of reasons) and i certainly (as im sure you are) hope that you allocate less than 1% of your time to monitoring this forum. At the end of the day your skills are much more important than 'baby monitoring' and trying to monitor a bunch of drunken people who wont comply with what you want even though you asked multiple times probably happens to most pub owners every weekend.....its just the nature of beast just like these forums. I know its a crazy analogy but it certainly lines up i reckon. Any way no matter what has been said about this project in my opinion this will be the most amazing thing to happen to FSX since the release of FSX itself. Not many companies can have that sort of affect on so many people. And to take a 'glass half full' attitude towards the release date comments, take it as flattery, we are all so keen to get hold of her and mean no disrespect by asking these questions we are just a bit a drunk cos its so late in the night ie. so far down the track with this project. (back to that analogy again lol).Mike Kendall
