Iain, i wasn't referring specifically to PMDG products in this, there were / are other addons from other developers that feature the 'working wipers' , captain sim's C130 and the iFly 737 to name but two.
Ah! OK Alan, I misunderstood - apologies.Iain Smith

Dearest rivet/angle/screw/parameter counters:Before you post further, please go off and have a look an any informational article explaining lens distortion. Cameras, though rather precise in copying what a human eye could see, do not directly translate the 3D image into 2D. Proportion will be off, especially in a few key areas of the frame because of the way the lens works. Furthermore, color will be off as well. No matter how many times you photograph something, you will never get it 100% correct, so your basis for your [asinine target] counting is baseless. As mentioned before, there is also an issue in trying to get a computer to render a 3D object on a 2D screen. There's a translation that occurs that is not entirely accurate. If you don't believe me, have a discussion with a cartographer.projections.jpgRendering a 3D object in 2D requires translation, and in that translation, the 3D object ceases to be 100% accurate. Basing your measures off of a photograph (which is also a 3D to 2D translation) introduces the translation error twice, so give it up. It has been stated multiple times that these measures from from Boeing's models directly. Any "errors" you may find can be directly attributed to that 3D to 2D translation error.
Here you go - you can count the rivets in this winglet - total rivet count is always an odd number.Rivertcounters.jpgRay Marshall

I hope this bird has good FPS. I mean its looks incredible but I run ORBX Oz Scenery and ORBX ONLY! I hope the two play well together. I was also hoping there are tons of Performance things we can change to help with the Frames.

The good folks over at OrbX have hooked us up with some fantastic scenery against which you are going to start seeing the NGX displayed. These images don't do the scenery justice, but suffice it to say that the OrbX team simply cannot be beat when it comes to detail...
Yeah, many folks on the FTX forums are not very happy that these images show OrbX scenery in rather very poor light, that the Orbx logo is even displayed. Just reporting, not sure if their frustration has merit.

Michael J.

My guess is PMDG will only take the OrbX logo off if OrbX contacts them about it. Another forum's complaints wouldn't have any affect if they were to behave legally.
