Well Ryan, just keep going with the good work, don't rush it. I have no need to get it right now, because I've to learn for my final exams that will start May 17th. ;)

Tom,Your posts are exactly why we are usually so hesitant to say specific things. We are damned if we do and damned if we don't. If we say nothing, everyone accuses us of having bad communication. If we say something specific, someone like you jumps all over it trying to read between the lines and determine where we are in the project so that you can complain about it. Saying nothing is much easier and has the same result...
I don't think you guys should even announce when its in beta, just keep silent on the status, then make the announcement when its done and ready for download.Sean Campbell

Frankly i have given up with the mad panic by some people here and gone into a state of flying other aircraft that PMDG have that are just as fun. My own zen as its not worth getting wound up about something like this. I believe that when the NGX does finally come out and whenever, that these other little gems by PMDG will be put into my hangar for a while so best get using them now! Still learning new features on the MD-11 and the JS41 is still a tricky little bird!I would actually like to let the crew to maybe give us some details on the Dash8 that was planned. Is there still plans for the DHC8? I read way back that the crew that did the JS41 are now going into that. Probably still reading a ton of documentation on the bird and havent started any work but she will be amazing like the rest of PMDG stuff!

Little question. What comes after the NGX??? The T7 or the Dash???My favourite would be the T7 :)

You don't get updates, you're unhappy. You get updates, the short sarcastic remarks start. Why don't you just be happy we got any info at all.

Damn. Can we have one thread that has information on the NGX that doesn't turn into people questioning PMDG on stuff they aren't going to tell us or other people beating up the others for asking the questions in the first place. They should start up a special subforum for people who want to complain about PMDG's way of doing things and those that want to defend PMDG. That way people who feel like asking questions and getting answers can avoid all of this minutia. Argue elsewhere please.

Thanks for the update,as I am getting ready for my CFII checkride,I will not have much time to fly the 737 for a couple of weeks so take your time and get it right. JeffG

Lets all do what Alistar is doing and fly our other planes. Currently I am in a 74 from London to Anchorage for Robin's fun little project. We need more fliers to accurately rank ourselves, so fly if you can.

Well its nice to see an over all pleasent response to the status of the NGX. Nice to see that the FS Sim community still has understanding and open minded people. When PMDG said they were to release a new version of the NGX I was like "YES". Figured it would get alot of attention just because of the aircraft's history and the availablity to the aviation market. Im sure everyone will be happy when the product is released and we all get a chance to climb into the captains chair of our new bird.

I wanna buy the NGX, but I won't be buying the first-released version of it. I'm gonna wait for bugs, etc to be ironed out in updates and/or servicce packs. Waited a fair while already, so what's a little bit longer?

People will vent their frustrations, PMDG will rightfully lock the thread, and the cycle will continue. This pattern would make a good thesis topic for a PhD paper on internet behavior. tongue.gif

This thread is on it's way to be locked real quick.PMDG, here's my suggestion on how to avoid this PR nightmare:- lock this thread- continue locking/deleting threads plagued with immature content we keep seeing over and over- make ONE sticky thread at the very top of the pile, title it "UPDATE STATUS" and lock it- as you see fit, make small posts to that stickied thread. Nothing elaborate, very similar to what was posted here i.e. "still in alpha testing"This will:- keep a thread dedicated to updates- keep all the useless crap out so readers don't have to wade through 10 pages to find one small update post- make a clear place people can go to to see the statusI think by this point, we have talked the release of the NGX to death, and anything else is just kicking the dead horse. For god sakes, save us from this social junior high chat hell and when we see a new post in the update sticky thread, we can all smile and avoid draining a bottle of tylenol trying to read through the thread.
