I just got my AS Katana Da-20 Diamond and am flying around the Orbx PNW/NFJ, So Im in no rush for the NGX :( .Its a long time since I had as much fun in FSX as im having now, flying VFR in an aircraft built to a standard that meets and exceeds any of the big name addons. If I didnt look twice I would swear this was a next generation A2A aircraft!!. Have you ever owned an addon aircraft that needs cleaning after a long flight (PS there is a bucket and sponge to clean with!)? Have you ever checked your engine oil with a dipstick? Have you ever squshed an annoying fly thats crawling across you instrument panel? Have you ever checked for water in the fuel tank? If you have not but want to I recommend this addon =) At least untill the NGX comes along.Its a PMDG quaility GA VFR machine!

only tip for now, dont use the Carb heat fully on all the time, I use just a little bit when I am in cloud or the temps are low. there is a small bug that makes it kill your engine if you use full carb heat all the time , I hope they get round to fixing it soon. What I do is keep and eye on the Manifold Pressure when flying level and make sure it does not start to drop (its a sure sighn that theres ice about blocking the carbs. Ive had my MP drop fast in cloud at 9c OAT so it does not take much. Also get the patch from the aerosoft forum, its beta atm but should be out as a full patch soon.Oh and remove the inlet baffle if flying in summer temps, ie 15c +As stated above you will love it.

I remember of at least 3 similar 'whatever-you-want-to-call-this' (couldn't find a word) since I joined AVSim Forums a year ago. In the beggining of this year, a guy who was a member for sometime suddenly got angry and decided to attack PMDG and other users. He created 3 or 4 different profiles that day when the mods banned his last one. That happened in the "Impressions of the NGX" thread, opened by George Morris (falcon999) IIRC. We see some people getting angry here quite often, but not so close to what we saw last night, although that happens relatively frequently too. There was also the funny case of a man who got drunk after a party or something and decided to discharge his emotions here. On the following day, he openned a topic apologizing for that. The guy himself could believe that he actually said those stuff.

Oh yes I do remember the one just this past January/February. I may recall the drunk one but maybe not. Anyway, I am glad that is over.Also, my post got deleted in the recently locked "Wide Beta Tomorrow?" thread after I asked why Jack doesn't have his "Tech Team" banner in his sig anymore. I was not trying to be sarcastic or disrespectful (and I sincerely apologize if I came off that way), I just noticed it because those things were so pretty . That thread was out of control - I've talked to Jack about it and we didn't want that crap that started in there sitting around, that's why it was removed. Jack is not a PMDG company member and that thread was making it look like he was.

What happened to the BETA TESTER banner that the testers like George Morris were using when you 'released' NGX banners? Bringing them back should reduce or eliminate the confusion between who is an actual PMDG employee and who is just supporting you.

To pmdg probably in the too hard basket my idea of the post being made lately nowdays being waste of time reading etc. Is to insure that everyone who is able to make a post in here have a regristed copy of a pmdg products(proof of purchase etc) like in other aircraft forum u need to regrister ur product before u able to post anything, other people can still read the forums but unable to post anything.

No, that was exactly the problem - it was too close to the actual developer/company member banners.
