July 22, 201114 yr I absolutely hate it...I am now drooling all over my keyboard, I know I want that plane, NOW, and I know I can't get it now...The level of detail is stunning. I almost wanted to put my hands on my screen to see if I can feel the window heating working :DAnd I hate that I cannot fly it immediately...Ah well, then, please wait until next thursday, I have my birthday then, this would be a nice present I would really want to give to myself :D Volker Heuermann
July 22, 201114 yr Mind boggling....I have an uncontrollable urge to clean those DU's. An option perhaps...?I hope we can buy virtual screen cleaners =). or something like the Katana has that lets you clean the windows :( Only j/k Andrew Simmons Intel i7 950+Corsair H70. 6 Gig ram Kingston Hyperx 1600Mhz ASUS GTX560 Ti (900mhz core/1800Shader/2100Memory) 1T Cavier Black HD + 1T Cavier Green for backup jobs. July 22, 201114 yr Moderator Very nice indeed. I may have missed it but what is this fellow's computer specs? The frames seem awfully stuttered. Hi Tom,The video was created in HD, the resources required to make such a video on top of FSX is staggering. They are also using beta code that has not been optimized yet, that's the reason for the studders. If you download the video and watch it back using the Windows Media player its smooth as silk with no stutters. I have the same experience when watching it in streaming mode and thought it was due to low FPS or something, but it turned out not to be the case once I watched it back from a download. It also does mention at the bottom of the video that playback will be smoother in streaming mode if you turn off HD.Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
July 22, 201114 yr May be a little off topic but what do you guys think the future of airliners will bring? As new planes become more and more automated, I feel as if in the next say 20 years, airplanes will bo so automated that the FS community will no longer want to fly these newer planes because there is not much to do anymore.
July 22, 201114 yr I also watched the walk-around video, it's amazing. Just incredible. And I can truly say I've never in my life have I heard a sound pack that just gets every single sound just perfect. Sounds just like the real thing to every detail. WELL DONE PMDG!!! Cheers, Alistair Hibbert.
July 22, 201114 yr I'm looking forward to learning VNAV as it's supposed to work. A 777 F/O friend of mine said VNAV logic was one of the hardest things for him wrap his head around, so he was skeptical that you guys would be able to replicate it faithfully. I told him you guys had worked extremely hard on getting it right and were confident it would be. So this should be interesting! Tony

July 22, 201114 yr the ambient sound is just stunning, i absolutely love the sounds on the flight deck and the engines etc and this has exceed any expectation i had.well done guys Mike
July 22, 201114 yr Boaz-Thanks for the kind words- they are very much appreciated. It is amazing to think of: but PMDG will be celebrating our 14th anniversary in the middle of August this year. Back in those days it was just me- but now the team is quite large and it is the combined talent of the group that makes a product like the NGX possible. The talent mix that we have now is really well balanced- the team functions very well and the interpersonal relationships between the members of the team have really grown during the past three years. We have some great things planned- and the next couple of years are going to be great fun! Thanks for sticking around!I have no doubt that the future of PMDG and flightsim is a bright one indeed! And me sticking around? That pleasure is all mine Yours trulyBoaz FraizerCopenhagen, Denmark
July 22, 201114 yr Awesome! The cockpit and external views are so detailed and realistic that I feel, if I crashed my aircraft (highly unlikely :( ), I would have to come back to the store and buy another one. I'm not too excited about buying dust and fingerprints on the gauges but I'll get over that. Nick's two videos are the best I have ever seen of a simulated aircraft and there is no doubt the PMDG 737 will be in my hangar and then on many flights around the world. I am still truly amazed with the white lighting in the cockpit. It makes everything look so clean, crisp and clear and proves the PMDG Team does not fear having everyone seeing the attention to detail they put into this aircraft. All that hard work will definitely bring many deserving rewards to PMDG and their crew of experts. Congratulations!Best regards,Jim
July 22, 201114 yr Can you tell me how to save this video to my porn folder? If you download and install "RealPlayer", it will add the option to download the video. Robert Yunque
July 22, 201114 yr Woooow this aircraft is so perfect and it looks so good :)I really had never thought that something like this is possible in Flightsimulation. But obviously we have some brilliant people around here.Congratulations to the whole PMDG-team and thank you for giving us such a perfect 737NG :):( :( regards, Alexander Marx
