July 27, 201114 yr Thanks for the update .... as for the price ... i'll probably get some stick for this ... very good value, personally I was expecting double the stated estimated price. For what we are getting I feel its worth at least £80 ($130) for the base package. Quality costs and this is going to be QUALITY. Thank you and well done one and all.Richard Russell
July 27, 201114 yr There is a massive crowd of us FS2004 users who won't use FSX just for this plane. Much money your team wont be making. We will really like for you to make a FS2004 version, otherwise your company will go down. IFLY is better than you anyway. I know how immature PMDG is. They cannot take criticizm not even on Facebook. Shoot they deleted my postings yesterday. And to the smart aleck from facebook. This aint PS2 nor PS3 we can run FS2004 and its ridiculous to put Computers and gaming consoles in the same category. PMDG would not be downgrading they will be enlarging their cunsumer base if they are smart. If this post is deleted I know this PMDG has gotten so cocky they will disrespect anyone else who sounds off their right to speak. I will be reposteing this in another thread PMDG has no control over. -DoyleDoyle correct me if i'm wrong but didn't PMDG already make all the 737 variants for FS9. In fact you can purchase them right now. Lastly if iFly are better then nothing PMDG do should concern you. I never bothered saying but i was bought the iFly 737 recently as a gift for a bit of work i did for a relative and i must say its a good aircraft. But trust i'm still going to be right there on release day with my credit card.To PMDG - Brilliant news, i will buy all of them except probably the military one, i rarely fly any form of military aircraft. I will however fly everything else. I look forward to been able to pay you for your hard workMIke Mike

So then why do you want PMDG to make one for FS9 again?Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
July 27, 201114 yr I'm usually pretty quiet, but I yelled "YES!!!" when I read this, and the guy in the next room at camp pounded on my wall and said "SHUT UP!" hahaha. Can't wait you guys, my visa is standing by! Dave Dominic
July 27, 201114 yr If it's as good as your MD-11, then it's a bargain. If it's better then it's a steal! Thanks PMDG guys. Rick Hobbs
July 27, 201114 yr A looooong wait is soon to be ended - and at a price that is close to free... the manuals cost a lot more, so buying the full range of 737NG will be a pleasure... ;o)
July 27, 201114 yr Due to the fact I'm not interested in the 800 or 900, it would run I guess around 100 bucks for the add-on. What a great price! Not. Can I afford it? Yes. Is it worth it? Not in comparison to other software and other add-ons.Pretty disappointed right now.Scott CooperYou could always buy the Ariane 737 one for 120 smackers, or better still, 10 Happy meals @ mackers
July 27, 201114 yr James, drop your preconceptions and don't fear FSX, embrace it :(Well, in fact I really need some encouragement, but I have read so many negative comments in the past 3 years that it's not so easy to start over... James Goggi
July 27, 201114 yr For those who are in New Zealand:PMDG 737NGX Base Package: $80PMDG 737NGX 6700 Package: $28.56 Total: $108.56 NZD Can't wait to fly the 738 around Queenstown airport! Orbx NZ South + NZQN + 737-800NGX = :(The way the NZ dollar is at the mo Eddy, should be near dollar for dollar by release day, if Obama does not pay his power bill on time :(
July 27, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member Well, in fact I really need some encouragement, but I have read so many negative comments in the past 3 years that it's not so easy to start over...James-Things change. As computing technology has continued to go faster, the hardware makes up for the software.More importantly, as a community we have learned how to more efficiently tune FSX for maximum performance. In the introduction chapter for the NGX, Ryan wrote a wonderful piece that explains how to optimally set up FSX for best performance.A few of our beta testers tried the recommendations and saw a significant improvement in their FPS.I am running FSX on two 32" screens in a debugging configuration and my FPS performance is stellar, even sitting on the ground at KRNT with the OrbX PNW scenery loaded, Active Sky Evolution and a very heavy traffic load in UT2...The fluidity that the NGX provides is a credit to the techniques that we have developed to keep the performance as high as possible. Can I bog it down if I want to? Heck yes... but the days of having to worry about FSX performing poorly are long gone. Robert S. July 27, 201114 yr Good pricing, but expensive at the same time as it doesn't include the -600 and -700. Good that we can get the package separately (i for one have no interest in BBJ/900/800/ER), but once again, shame there isn't a 600/700/800 package priced 69.99 which would be perfect.Enough complaining, you've made an incredible job and produced a masterpiece that let the phenomenal MD-11 nearly in the dust :blink:I will probably purchase it, even if i already own "the other one". Might consider offering it to someone else :PGreat job once again, and thank you PMDG!EDIT:Message to all skeptical FS2004 users:FS9 was (and still is) a great simulator. It works really well and it's reliable, but it's old, dated, and lacks features that "X" brought and made products like PMDG's NGX possible.FSX used to be sluggish and slow and unpredictable, but like mentioned above, we all have access to real tweaks (leaving out the FSX performance settings myths) that will enable FSX to run great on an average computer. If you can upgrade, then by all means do it, if there's something dying sometime soon that's FS9 and not PMDG.Take care and safe landings! July 27, 201114 yr Two questions.#1. Say I buy the base package but forgo the 6700 package, and then I want to buy the ER package. I assume I'd only have the -800ER and -900ER and not the other two, correct? (I don't think a 600ER even exists....)#2. Will liveries be available for all models? For example, would an -800 Southwest livery will be available even though WN doesn't actually fly the -800(yet...)? - Nevermind, I read the livery threadThat would be beneficial for those who don't want the 6700 package, but still want liveries of airlines that only fly the -600 or -700.-johnny rodgers
