September 25, 201114 yr Hows the floating on landing problem? Seem better to any of you? That's the one thing I'm most looking forward to in the Service pack, but if it's been fixed with this latest hot fix, then I'm a happy camper! Thanks Ty J. Peres - KBZN
September 25, 201114 yr Yes thats what I mean. I loaded up the Ryan Air Livery at KBOS and went to load max passengers in the 800 Winglets and it loaded 174 instead of 162. I going to go back and look at everything again and see if I missed something. 174 Pax sounds like your in Single class config instead of two class configuration. Gideon Ward
September 25, 201114 yr I figured it out. Oopps all my fault. After doing a new reinstall with hot fix I didnt change all the options back to the way I had it. Was set to Single Class layout instead of Dual Class. Paul Deemer

Are you stating that the simulation of ground effect is a problem? Shane Gavin

That's the one thing I'm most looking forward to in the Service pack, but if it's been fixed with this latest hot fix, then I'm a happy camper! ThanksThe approach pitch attitude is fixed (but now less engine n1 is used on approach but this will probably be corrected in sp1). As for the flare, it is now correct at 4-5 degrees, but, I've only done 1 landing, it is basically the same as before in that you put the nose 2-3 degrees up and you shouldnt float that much. This is the same as it was before, but in my opinion, the problem wasn't the flare but the approach pitch attitude as before the hotfix I use to flare about 2 degrees the same and not used to float. September 25, 201114 yr "I saw a few folks questioning whether we will be adding more 2D panels: No, we will not. As previously discussed, PMDG is moving away from 2D panels. On future products we will provide 2D functionality designed specifically to support home cockpit builders, but we will not be including full cockpit panel functionality as this consumes a significant amount of resources that can be better used for increased functionality and performance." Well, that answers that! I am estatic that PMDG is doing so well they can afford to alieniate 1/3 of their customer base. Looks like the 737 will be my last PMDG plane. Jay
September 25, 201114 yr Great News, Thanks for sharing Robert. Can't wait for a realistic PMDG 777 . Evan Banalian.
September 25, 201114 yr I made three more flights on my testing route that always gave me panel freezes on touchdown, but now with the hotifix there are no more signs of them. I think it's safe to say that the freezes are indeed fixed! Finally I can land this bird manually. Thanks PMDG! I would really like to know what you finally identified as the reason for the freezes so that you could fix it, but I would understand if you wouldn't want to share the details of your coding. ;)
September 25, 201114 yr Is it just me, or is the Status display on the IRS panel now working that shows the countdown to IRS alignment I haven't checked after the fix, but before it definitely did that as well. Although sometimes it would show junk - especially at high latitudes (where it shouldn't align at all), it showed numbers as high as 16667 minutes and began to count down from there. But I've said so numerous times... Well, I'll check out what the hotfix did to it, if anything.

September 25, 201114 yr PMDG, I'd like to report that crashing and freezing when switching between full and windowed mode has been completely eliminated and seems to function very smoothly now, at least for me. I still pause first as a precaution. Chris Hicks
