How can you 'like' something that hasn't officially been released yet? :(
That should be obvious, Dillon. The one's who've actually been beta testing without prejudice, making a judgement on what is right, and not lamenting and lambasting what isn't there at all, so no judgement is possible...

Wow. Um... You cant figure it out yet? I would tell you how, but that would brake NDA. :(

Somehow it became "cool" to pick on Flight, and anyone defending it is ruthlessly attacked. Its just really sad to see a community reduced to that.
I don't think Jason was talking to the OP, neither was I. I agreed with him, because it seemed to be meant more for the people who, without fail, remind us how they are beta testers and how they are "without prejudice and making judgment on what is right".All the while forgetting that there seem to be plenty of beta testers who have just as valid, but opposite opinion. Of course, any beta tester speaking ill of Flight is prejudiced and so on.

I always thought if you were on a beta team and under an NDA I nor anyone else shouldn't even know you were a beta tester much less publicly commenting about the product (those were the rules I was always under). Commenting in any way on a game your testing is considered breaking most NDA's. I guess as long as it's 'good' press there's no issue. Those testers that spoke negatively about Flight here and on Flight's Facebook page were blasted for breaking their NDA agreement, trolling, and lying...The double standard is amazing.... :(

I'm pretty sure it's not against the NDA to say you're in the beta, but giving away specific details of the beta test is.

Nothing is missing, locked but not missing, to be improved...I'm with you, but not missing.
You guys need to listen and read what this man has said and ill say it again IT IS ALL THERE . Just be MATURE and wait ....

From what has been released so far it would appear that, initially, FLIGHT will be kind of a huge step backwards i.e. the rich and complex world of flight-simming which we have enjoyed for so long, with it's wealth of add-ons etc, will be reduced to chasing coins in Hawaii.Nevertheless, after a while I became optimistic that the improved graphics and performance, plus the opportunity to build on the free start-up (demo) package, via purchased DLC will, at the end of the day, provide us with an even better FLIGHT experience. This, in spite of the fact that the whole subject of what the DLC might be and what it might cost remains a complete mystery. And so, I posted that “FLIGHT will be good. Then, all of a sudden I lost it. I realised that this optimism was based on faith rather than facts and I felt rather foolish. How can I possibly express optimism on a forum like this, about a product which has not yet been released, when I know so little about what the developer’s plans and intentions are?And so I am in a kind of no-man’s land. It could be bad or it could be good. Hints are being dropped here and there that we may be pleasantly surprised. But, really, who knows at this stage? Like many others, I am back to waiting and seeing and saying “well at least I have FS9 (or FSX) to fall back on”.

I find this very hard to believe for various reasons. Unfortunately we cannot discuss the merits of that statement. If people in the beta want to give us better information, they should point out things in the already released material that support their claims.

Trevor - first, I wanted to say that I appreciate the majority of what you post - you seem to think before expressing yourself, and share your thoughts in a logical and nonjudgemental manner - thank you. While I feel MSFlight may be a step back in certain areas initially (global flight possibilities and a myriad of aircraft being two major areas), I also feel/hope that steps forward have been made - most specifically in more efficiently harnessing the capabilities of current day computers (as you stated). With a solid base to work from, who knows what the possibilities may be?I STRONGLY feel you should not feel foolish over your optimism - it's based on faith rather than facts, much like some negative opinions expressed in these forums are based on pessimism rather than facts. I would rather my cup be half full - unlike my pint glass which is usually half empty! So, a word of encouragement to you - I'll quote Gunny Highway, from Heartbreak Ridge - "Don't let the ######s get you down"

It's just sad to observe how uncapable Microsoft is in building brand loyalty and enthusiasm for their products. As we rant in vain in these forums people are crying in pure happiness just because they got a new iPhone og iMac from Apple...

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

Initially I p00 p00ed on Flight. After watching the video's, looking at the screenshots, how money can be made selling add on's, and what add on's sell the best for FSX, I have a lot of faith in Flight. I did a 180 in attitude. It is hard to be positive with the lack of information from Microsoft. you can bet your bippy they are reading the posts and scouring the forums. In a year from now a lot of new sayers will be more constructive in requesting the quality add on's as the voice of the community as a whole is listened to, as we shall find out this spring.

Just in case I was included in that statement I can tell you that I am NOT a beta tester.

In my case, I was or was not included in that statement, therefore I can not tell you that I am, or am not a beta tester.Kind regards,
