Best Turboprop?

Featured Replies

What is the best turboprop jet for fsx payware? I have heard the Piper Cheyenne X but also heard it looks like FS9 instead of FSX.

I am currently loving the Carenado Malibu Jetprop. It is well done and beautiful. But if your looking for a twin, go with the Real Air Duke turbine. I have also put a ton of time ejoying that one.

+1; its awesome.....the best out there just release last week. Puts some fun in a turboprop in my opinion...I have their c340 too which is nice...the Jetprop is defineatly worth a purchase.Check out these screens from my last few days flying...http://forum.avsim.n...screnery-earth/http://forum.avsim.n...s-pa46t-malibu/http://forum.avsim.n...u/#entry2237385http://forum.avsim.n...1080p-vc-image/

I have to say the Aerosoft Bronco gets my vote at the moment.

Cheers

I have to say the Aerosoft Bronco gets my vote at the moment.
As much as I love the Duke I would have to agree. And it's only going to get better when the rest of it gets released soon.

Still running the good old Piper Cheyenne from DA here. Especially when the T Duke drove me nuts on the taxi behaviour. But I'd say that a turboprop fan should get them all, Bronco, J41, T Duke and the Cheyenne. :(

How is the Cheyenne though? Is it a good quality plane or is lacking in detail?

It's very dated in the visual department. I believe the gauges are 2D on the VC. They look pixelated on my 1920x1080 monitor. The external looks better. The sound is pretty good and the systems/flight dynamics are excellent. I mainly fly it ifr as /A - the GPS is pretty old school. The autopilot is interesting to use. You spin a dial to change vertical speed, but it does have HDG, ALT and APR modes.I fly the Turbine Duke much more often.

The cheyenne is a well done plane, does all it is supposed to do, flies like a turboprop, you have to think ahead. Cockpit is well done consdidering its being around a while, teh GPS is the only complaint of some as it is modelled on the one that came with the original plane, which was before the modern day fancy ones., no fancy displays, and can take time to come to grips with. But you will still love it.

cheyenne vc is just fine. more realistic texture compared to the clinical interpretation of the t duke vc. drop in the rxp430 and the cheyenne's up to date. bronco's da bomb.

There are quite a few available now, but my all time favorite is still the Aerosoft Twin Otter, which most seem to have forgot :-)

What about the Flight1 PC12?.. but my recommendation would actually be to get the Turbine Duke.
