January 26, 201214 yr bronco's da bomb.True that is. And they are getting closer to the update I guess.Maybe a plane to look out for, that upcoming Carenado King Air. Can't be too far away. Edited January 26, 201214 yr by CoolP
January 26, 201214 yr I like the Duke, but at the moment the Carenado PA-46T gets my vote. I've been told by a Malibu pilot who flew the sim that the model is good, and it's beautiful. The glass cockpit is totally gorgeous. If you're looking for a twin, I think the Duke is definitely the way to go.
January 26, 201214 yr There are few really good ones out there.PMDG JS41 and RealAir Duke are two of my favs.Ditto ;o) Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. January 26, 201214 yr Piper Cheyenne is very well done, though it's a bit dated in terms of Vc graphics. Nonetheless I fly it a lot and gives me a lot of satisfaction in terms of feeling.
January 26, 201214 yr Most favorable T-Prop here are:- PMDG JS-41Very detailed systems and VC, nice FDE, very rewarding plane to fly. A lot of reading (well written) if You want to fly as real as possible.- RealAir Turbine DukeDetailed almost as good as JS - great small GA, easy to handle, extremly powerful (+4000fpm VSI deviation - not only on sea level)- Aerosoft Twin OtterVery nice aircraft to fly, has old VC, but nice flying characteristics. You can use it it various missions from the 3rd party market to get You familiarized with it.For VFR sightseeing I use Duke from time to time. For 200-500 miles IFR commuter trips, JetStream is always my bird of choice. Do not forget to add FS2Crew to it. Bartłomiej Ender
January 26, 201214 yr As much as I love the Duke I would have to agree. And it's only going to get better when the rest of it gets released soon.Arrrgh! I should know better by now than reading these threads since I always end up having parted with some money! Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
January 26, 201214 yr DA Piper Cheyenne. Excellent aircraft with immersive 2D and VC panel. Not dated at all.Flies beautifully. Only downside is the ancient GPS but I guess you could retrofit a Garmin 430 or similar.RealAir Duke. Still provides the most authentic turboprop simulation within the confines of FSX IMHO. Best "handling" of all the twins available for FSX.PMDG JS-41. One of the worlds ugliest aircraft IMO (not PMDG's - the real thing). Therefore I didn't bother buying it. But from what I've seen and heard it has a fantastic VC and systems authenticity. That's my tuppence worth!Adam

January 29, 201214 yr Author Thanks for everyone's input. I looked at the RealAire Turbine Duke and I noticed the landing lights look pretty bad. I have REX so I am hoping that will be fixed with REX. Anyone else notice the landing lights having a huge glow to them instead of a crisp light? Josh Scholl
February 3, 201313 yr Is there any development team working on advanced EMB-120, ATR-42 or DASH-8-q200 with VC?
February 3, 201313 yr Not a Q200, but a Q400, see this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/398384-majestic-software-dash-8-q400/ It looks really promising. I'm with you on the ATR, though. I'd really love to have a better rendition of that one (and the 72), maybe complete with the pax and cargo version. Florian
February 3, 201313 yr I looked at the RealAire Turbine Duke and I noticed the landing lights look pretty bad Forget the lights just buy it, it's the best imo. It's not just eye candy like other are, you fly it wrong and you will lose an engine. No other sounds as right as this does when starting up. Get it or wait for the Q400, but that is bigger. February 3, 201313 yr There is no realistic turboprop developed for FSX, PMDG J41 is good only on the system and VC, but engine and FDE simulation is the problem and Majestic Q400 with his external programming in that department is the only one promising turboprop for Flight simulator.
