February 8, 201214 yr Okay I've got a stupid but curious question.I love these threads. IMHO, there's no better way to get ideas for routes than these kinds of reads. Generally speaking I have a habit of simply picking either the 6/7/8/9 depending on my mood and then an airline. I just randomly plan out the dep / arr cities, do some planning on VRoute and FlightAware etc. to match as much realism as I can, boot up, and start preflight.Do most people have a bunch of flights saved on FSX, say the last time they left their SWA 700 at midway would be saved as 'last swa park' and another for say KLM -900 at EHAM? My flights are totally random and since I'm not involved in VA's I'm curious to see how people go about their route / aircraft selectionsThanksWilliam William EzzellKATL
February 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member Do most people have a bunch of flights saved on FSX, say the last time they left their SWA 700 at midway would be saved as 'last swa park' and another for say KLM -900 at EHAM?The only problem with perpetual panel states (those that you save over at the end of each flight) is the following:-Eventually they get corrupted.-If you think about it, if you leave a plane somewhere (unless it's your own), I can guarantee someone is going to fly it between when you leave it and when you get back to it. That being said, the whole "realism" from coming back to a plane the way you left it is a big stretch. In a perfect world, everyone would run the same checklist the same way and all end with the same panel state, so re-saving the state every time wouldn't matter. If you really want to, just save a panel state where you leave off once, and then keep loading that one from then on (without over-writing it). Since they already have panel states to that effect, though, you might as well just use those. Kyle Rodgers
February 8, 201214 yr Since my mother company Malév finished all operations, the HA-LOU was taken back to Shannon (EINN) by the leaser, and probably going to be repainted soon. I have to switch to Ryanair, they seem to take over 31 ex Malev routes at LHBP. Sad sad story about how politics can ruin the national airline of Hungary in a couple of years... :( Zsolt Bondar
