May 25, 201214 yr Hi Just a quickie, but will I be OK flying this with an Intel i5 processor @ 3.2 Ghz and a nVidia GTX560 card with 1 Gb on board? Thanks for any replies. David
May 25, 201214 yr David you'll be OK, just have a cuppa handy, in case. And on that computer, I'd take care not to run more than 5 or 6 of these planes, all at the same time... :Shame On You: Mine runs just fine on a 2.4GHz Core2 Duo
May 27, 201214 yr Got it yesterday noon. I am have a lot of fun with this. I think this is an aircraft you can have fun with whether you want to do some serious airliner simulation or just want to jump in and go for a quick flight. Am thoroughly enjoying this aircraft, in particular the challenge of flying it in and out of the more difficult airports with tricky approaches or short runways. I feel (surprisingly) that this is destined to become one of the classic aircraft of FS9 which is all the more amazing considering it has appeared long after many people had written off FS9 as dead! Bill I'm hoping that QW puts out an flight tutorial pretty soon.I saw mention of a tutorial on their forum. Meanwhile it's the MD-11 and this one that I spend my simtime enjoying. Alex Cadle
June 1, 201214 yr Just posting this on the basis that we need to keep the QW 146 in people's minds to maximize the number of purchases of the FS9 version and show that FS9 is still a market worth developing aircraft for. Rafal, have you bought this yet? Get that credit card warmed up - this product really deserves our support.! Bill
June 1, 201214 yr Rafal, have you bought this yet? Not yet, not yet, mate. But I will eventually do it. Promise! I have zero doubts it is a very nice addon.
June 1, 201214 yr Picked it up yesterday along with some new sceneries. Still reading ... Hope you enjoy it! Bill
June 2, 201214 yr Could anyone with this aircraft tell me if Ansett (defunct airline) and Cobham (current Australian operator of the 146) are included in the liveries? Thanks
June 2, 201214 yr Could anyone with this aircraft tell me if Ansett (defunct airline) and Cobham (current Australian operator of the 146) are included in the liveries? Thanks They are not surrently included in the liveries but the first stage of this release is for the later and slightly modernised Avro RJ variant with the older BAe-146 series to follow as a free upgrade - http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=qw146 . As the Ansett aircraft were 146s rather than RJs then perhaps a livery for this (a very nice livery indeed) might be available when the upgrade is released. Bill
June 18, 201213 yr Thanks Al and other pilots for the reviews here. I got it and it looks good but have to spend some time with the manuals and FSUIPC (axes) setups. Not to mention one gone Heineken for this evening ... Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
June 20, 201213 yr The subject may seem to have been beaten to death but in case there is anyone out there who still doesn't realise what an incredible product this is, I thought I'd refresh this thread. There is no doubt in my mind that this is as good as anything ever released for FS9 and in some ways perhaps is THE best. Visually stunning VC - superb systems modelling - great extra effects including cabin announcements etc. When I first got it I commented that as excellent as it was, I thought the iFly 737 was just slightly better. I retract that statement. Neither is better - they are both top of the line but you can't really compare them as they are very different products which faithfully model very different types. The technology is 70-80's and with very complete systems modelling it's a busy cockpit - much less intuitive and user-friendly than the 737NG - but that's what you would expect!. It is very different from pretty much anything else I've flown so there's a fairly steep learning curve to really master it. But it is absolutely worth the effort and if you don't want to worry about all that systems stuff, there's plenty of "lite" options that allow you to fly it without bothering with the manual. About the only issue for me is a slight FPS problem. Not bad enough to cause me any serious concerns - and my system is not all that great. One really nice little touch, which shows the degree of product support QW is providing, is information to fit the RXP-500 Wx radar into the VC. Perfect! For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, there is also a freeware fuel planner available that supplements the one that came with the product and helps you plan fuel for a specific flight including alternative, reserves etc. And what really blows my mind is that they are still working on other variants which will be released free of charge to people who already have it. So you have a great product that's going to get even better!!! So if you haven't bought it yet - go for it!!!!! You don't need to be hard core to enjoy it but if you are hard core, this will challenge and delight you.. Cheers Ian

I guess I'm one of the (very) few to disagree respectfully. For now I have parked the BAe untill the patch is released, specifically regarding the FMC and autopilot issues. Nevertheless it is a nice aircraft but imho not up to par yet with iFly Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
