Yep. I'm feelin that up here in Reston, too.

At least some of the hangar stuff was taken care of earlier. I was flying with my buddy get his instrument currency the day after that storm and noticed a flipped Cessna on the ramp at RMN.

 

 

• The 747-400 v2.0 will have an all new VC at the detail level of the 777 but the external model will stay the "old" one, right?

Both the 747-400 v2.0 and 747-8i/F will be an all new exterior model with the same level of detail and quality as the NGX or better - yes completely new models and textures :-)

And I found this hilarious. I've never seen someone get slammed by the filter as hard as you do hahaha. It took me a second to think of what it filtered, but when I saw it, I had a pretty good laugh.

Very nice update, thank you Robert. I really look forward to start seeing some more 777 shots (both inside and out ) and I am glad to hear that things are progressing nicely on all fronts. I hope whoever had family matters was able to work things out (and of course, I hope it was not anything too serious).

PMDG 777:

The 777 continues to move along, but at a slightly slower pace than planned. I thought we would be pushing the airplane into testing late this month, but I think we are looking a bit further down the road before we take that step, as a few developers on the team have had to take some extended time away in order to tend to various family matters.

 

A new build has just gone out to the development team that includes some significant new progress in the areas of cockpit automation and crew assistance systems... The whole airplane is really beginning to come together and we will start showing parts of her to you in the weeks ahead.

 

Overall the 777 is looking fantastic and beginning to take shape well- we are looking forward to making the transition to testing- whenever that happens to be. (We aren't going to talk much about it until after it has gone to testing- as this "transition" is really an invisible one to end customers...)

 

Totally understandable, hay none of us would want people to not have a summer holiday and attend to family matters, if anything you guys deserve a nice trip to SXM ^_^

 

So exciting to hear we'll be seeing her by the end of the Summer! Hopefully some other great news by then too. Good luck for the rest of it and thank you!
