The vc and the exterior look really nice, but I wonder if they are going to model the systems deeply.

I welcome any decent L-1011 for FSX. but I have my reservations on Just Flight and their add-ons. I hope it doesn't disappoint and that there is some real good systems.

Looks nice and I would probably buy it even if the systems were light (and they probably will be). For me, a non-starter would be bad VC night lighting - the kind where it is flood or darkness or the flood comes on with the landing lights. It always makes me think twice about an add on when they don't show night VC screenshots.

Hi all,

Is it true? Only the other day I was posting on here wishing some developer out there would produce a good FSX Tristar.............It would appear dreams do come true!

I like the preview video, and those flashing lights on the INS panel just beg the question, is that going to be a working Inertial Navigation System installed on the flightdeck?

Well it looks good, I hope it flies as good as it looks.

Looks like I might be buying a JustFlight plane after all!

Looking forward to happy flying!

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

Will we be able to replace the INS with a more modern FMC? I never understood why developers only give you one option. It does look good. Too bad by this time all Tristars are retired except for the RAF.

Hopefully they'll include a decent manual and/or flight tutorial for this aircraft...

Question for anyone...

Does JF only do "lite" aircraft?

I typically enjoy a lot more complexity but if it were on par with the QW Avros, it would be a must have. When I think of "lite" I'm thinking FSX default. Am I off base?

Coming from JF i'm scared... I'll give them the chance though, hope they make it justice.

Don't forget the DC-10 *hint* *hint*

EDIT: I hadn't seen the video, and i am impressed. Let me take back what i said, even though i still have to try it. The video did make me want to buy it ;)

From my experience with JF (non-cls), I would put them somewhere between default and CaptainSim. More functionality than the default planes but, I think it being on par with QW may be a bit optimistic. However, we don't have a feature list yet. The plane itself was an "out of the blue" surprise, perhaps it has some more surprises yet to come.

I too hope the INS is functional. But there is a free, and pretty nice INS system out there than you can put into almost any of your airplanes.

Hi rcboffa.

Thanks for the response,

Yeah I know about the freeware ceva carousel INS that's available I have been working on fitting it to my freeware Tristar, the Eurolines one with the DC10 VC done by Ricardo_TV. Hence the reason for being so excited about this announcement!

Well got it all working, so just trying a few test flights when Justflight go and make this announcement, I think they must have heard me, lol.

Happy Flying,

That VC is giving me a Simcheck A300 vibe...I'm not sure what it is, or maybe it's because they are both 1970s airplanes?

It is interesting how the cockpit is so gray, yet the gauges are so colorful.

Hi Owen,

That is as per the real thing - photo here

Thanks

Martyn

P.S. The INS shown in the photos/video is functional.

I didn't mean to suggest that I didn't like it—it actually seems very unique. Good luck with the product and happy holidays.
