Don't Panic! (This is a planned outage...)

Captains-

In a few moments, we are going to be taking all of our public resources offline for a few hours in order to update some back end equipment that will enable better load balancing of the nine machines that will be involved in handling the launch of the 777....

This is not a "sneak attack release" of the 777... It is just routine maintenance that we needed to get accomplished prior to release and all resources will be back online during the course of the overnight period.

This outage will impact EVERYTHING, since we are killing the data bridge that connects all of our systems together- so you won't be able to reach support, eCommerce, activation, downloads, etc...

Should only last a few hours. I'll remove this message when the outage is through!

Is this good news ?

Best news we've had since about Christmas! Thanks for the warnings, Robert.

Ok, I just saw on PMDG wiki, the release date are provided for March 2013.

This has nothing to do with any release, some screenshots would give us a better idea at which stage of the 777 development is at, lets hope soon.

Gents-

Outage is complete and all services are back online!

I knew a few of you would think it was related to the 777 release- which is why I wanted to post this thread- just to be sure we didn't have a panic on our hands.

That being said- it IS related to 777 release... after all- we are getting the hardware side ready. B)
