POLL: How many of you take off at the same airport you started at?

Featured Replies

Never. I have specific flight plans I always use.

Best regards,

Jim

Yes, one of the flights at http://jga-europe.co.uk/ is an around the world flight. We never restrict our flying locally when there's always the rest of the world to explore.

Very rarely, i usually just pick a random flight from flightaware and I've enjoyed it

Me too. I pick a FP from Flightaware and use a plane that is as close as I can and roll with it.

If I'm to be brutally honest, I don't usually taxi to my next airport. It takes a bit too long!

Not very often. I usually look at NOAA radar and take off and land in inclement weather.

90% of the times I do rotation flights, or scheduled routestrings for my VA, i.e. I will take off from where I landed.

But, I also change planes within my VA, so I fly NGX, MD-11 and J41, so I might "jump" to another airport for that reason, or because I don't have time for a certain leg on that day.

In BAV we have quite a few restricted schedules also, it means if you want to fly XH3467C, you have to fly XH3467A and B before C, witin a 14 day timeframe.

Can't say that I've ever taken off from where I've last landed. I bounce all over the globe, but most of my flights are in the US and Asia

Though preferable, I do not usually depart from the arrival airport of my previous flight. Since I can only fly two days per week, free time available determines which flights I fly. I would rather fly a "discontinuous" flight than use time acceleration to fit a "continuous" flight into my schedule.

About one third of the time. Otherwise, I look at doppler weather and pick my airport dependent on local conditions.

Never, because I don't ever remember or care where I previously landed.

About 20% of the time. I enjoy the freedom of choosing what part of the world/type of flight, depending on the mood I'm in.

Close to never though I do think about it..
