Gents-

A few of you are not catching on to the fact that all posts must be signed in this forum.

We have been removing unsigned posts- so if your posts are disappearing- you are on the road to having restrictions placed on your ability to post, or worse yet you might be removed from the forum altogether....

It is a simple request- please sign your posts.  Even better, set up a signature block and you never have to remember again.

Please don't put us in a position to be punitive.  Thank you-

I still have no idea what you're talking about with this and you're the only one who seems to bring it up - what specifically are you talking about?

It has been said by many people, on and off the forums. It's basically what has also been said below, the animations are not 'smooth' they judder with movement, almost like a poor refresh rate.. Is is most obvious on the engine rotation. The fans do not spin smoothly. Like someone has said below, I can compare and make a video for you. But if anyone has for example the Quality wings Avro RJ series, or BBS Airbus, if you look at the dials in engine start up, and also the flight surfaces both on the ground and in the air, there is quite a difference.

I don't find anything wrong with the NGX animations.

The only issues I have is with the engine rotation, its rather studdery.

Yep the engine rotation is the most obvious, the other things I am talking about are subtle.

I own only the PMDG B747, but perhaps Alex is referring to how the roll spoilers and yoke of some PMDG aircraft do not animate as smoothly as those of, say, the Level-D B767 and QualityWings B757.

For example, with high controller sensitivity settings, when one makes a full left input immediately followed by a full right input, the roll spoilers of the PMDG B747 react almost instantaneously, resulting in unrealistic "flappiness". When the same inputs are performed in the Level-D B767 or QualityWings B757, the roll spoilers rise and sink fluidly (perhaps due to simulated hydraulic fluid delay?).

Which animations aren't up to par? I can't see anything on my NGX that is t top notch in terms of animated items.

The animations for the ailerons and spoilers look like they jump from point A to B in a small movement and are not smooth, I will gladly make a video if you'd like.

Exactly, there are similar 'problems' in the cockpit,

Overall, it does take away from the fluidity of the simulation, almost looking like it is giving out lower fps performance than it should. Like Ryan Vince, I could make a video..

p.s It seems like my original post, which has been quoted, has been removed? I am really hoping it was an accident, because if we can't say anything 'slightly and constructively' critical about a product then I am very concerned..

Okay, I'll do my best to do a 'Button Control' version as well... no promises, but hopefully... only a few people screamed

One more scream here for a button version. Cannot use a voice only version and will not buy it if you make a voice only version.

What Alex says is a fact. You can have the external running at 30FPS - yet when doing the control checks, the ailerons aren't as smooth.

Well  that's   strange   every things works on mine, just checked  no stuttering  and  everything  went  smoothly, flaps   flight controls ,  speed brakes  animations  are fine on my  end.

I have also noticed the slow animations.

If we were measuring the angle of travel on the ailerons, rather than going 1, 2 ,3 4 ,5 degress movement, they go more like 1. 5. 10, 15, 22 in sudden steps.

I dont remember exact numbers, but with flaps, going from flap 1 to 5, its 1 sudden movment, theres no flow.

Luke M

The good news about the PMDG 777, however, is that the compared the 737NG, the 777 is a way more modern and automated airplane with much less pilot work load than the 737NG, which is still essentially a 1960's era design, save for the nice glass displays.

So this makes modelling a Crew Simulation for the PMDG 777 all that much easier  ^_^

Which is good news for FS2Crew  B)

GREAT!  B)

I was having a little trouble slowing down on approach and final a few nights back. So I called for the landing checklist rather late and only just completed the checklist before minimums. It was like: Landing checklist complete, minimums! landing!!  :P

Yes I think I found that noticeable along with the engine rotation pointed out.

Hello Robert,

This is fantastic news!I cant wait for the realease...hopefully it will be realeased this March!

I wanted to ask...Will there be a virtual cabin included in this Pmdg 777..not like captain sim but more like your old product,PMDG 747-400X?.

Once again,Thank you fo the fantastic news!

No, it won't have a virtual cockpit. All the previews of the PMDG 777 on the first page are of another product.

I think you got it right the first time ;)

You know what? Ignore this line. I should have been paying more attention to the names and see who is writing what. LOL. This is what I get for writing posts at 5 am.

thanks for your notes on the 772L release / inclusions !

can i soon sleep well downunda expecting to hear in the next days that options for setting key commands and using lua script and / or fsuipc macros to those switches etc. not covered in those commands will be as comprehensively possible as it is in the ngx ... makes 3D flying that much more the way for me.

for now, cheers
