CONFUSION

"It appears some confusion exists over the new pilot role titles. This notice will hopefully clear up any misunderstandings.

"The titles Pilot-in-command, Commander, First Officer, Pilot Flying, Pilot-not-flying, P1, P2 and Co-Pilot will now cease to have any meaning, within the BA operations manuals. They are to be replaced by Handling Pilot, Non-Handling Pilot, Handling Landing Pilot, Non-Handling Landing Pilot, Handling Non-Landing Pilot, and Non-Handling Non-Landing Pilot.

"The Landing Pilot is initially the Handling Pilot and will handle the take-off and landing, except in role reversal when he is the Non-Handling Pilot for taxi, until the Handling Non-Landing Pilot hands the Handling to the Landing Pilot at eighty knots.

"The Non-Landing (Non-Handling, since the Landing Pilot is handling) Pilot reads the checklist to the Handling Pilot until after the Before Descent Checklist completion, when the Handling Landing Pilot hands the handling to the Non-Handling Non-Landing Pilot who then becomes the Handling Non-Landing Pilot.

"The Landing Pilot is the Non-Handling Pilot until the "decision altitude" call, when the Handling Non-Landing Pilot hands the handling to the Non-Handling Landing Pilot, unless the latter calls "go-around", in which case the Handling Non-Landing Pilot, continues handling and the Non-Handling Landing Pilot continues non-handling until the next call of "land" or "go-around", as appropriate.

In view of the recent confusion over these rules, it was deemed necessary to restate them clearly.

Just a question, since there will not be any 2D panels, will there be an option (like on the Aerosoft A320 Extended) to have preset views of the VC which give the illusion of a 2D panel?

Thanks and can't wait to get the 777 in my fleet!

I bet they will, considering they also had those on the NGX

Best regards, happy flying,

ECL Cursor sounds Fab! Checklists are so hard to check off in "Another plane that has checklists avaialble to tick off, a GA type plane"

The back lighting is very appealing to me.  That green glow is fantastic.

Looking good!

I'm liking those pics.

I can't wait for everyone to flock to the 777... I want my 737 back to myself!

I still have no idea what you're talking about with this and you're the only one who seems to bring it up - what specifically are you talking about?

Best way to describe what I see when fly the NGX is that the animations are jerky.  Knowing a good amount about 3D modelling I am going to say it may have something to do with the number of frames each animation has and the jumps you see in the video is it switching from one frame to the next.  The video below was shot at 30FPS and I highlighted the jerkiness of the ailerons, spoilers, yoke, and rudder pedals.

I hope this helps!

This is the first time in over 500 hundred hours in the NGX that i see the Flaps extending and i, personally, dont care at all about the animation of it - for me at that specific moment there are much more important things to concentrate on....  But i can understand that for "screenshooters" this seems to be important.

Although the flight surfaces are mentioned, I find the engine fan blades the most obvious.

People moaning about nothing but the control surfaces and engine fan blades not being absolutely smooth really proves how wonderful the NGX and, I am sure the 777 will be.

...in that nobody can find anything else to moan about, in the place where it really matters, the flight deck..!!!

Alex ( I am not arguing with you) but my yoke-and flaps- are not jerky like that at all, your issue is very noticeable... I wonder whats going on there.

This video isn't mine just to clarify ;)..

Don't get me wrong, I love the NGX, it is simply the best add on ever created. I just think its important to add constructive criticism to further enhance the experience.
