May 2, 201313 yr Screen shots look ok, not being dirty after loving the NGX so much is a no from me for this one. Its not my favourite aircraft and i dont do long haul much, so will wait for a dirty (hopefully) 744. Simon Roberts
May 2, 201313 yr Commercial Member Why can't you just respect his opinion instead of trying to change it for him? Hmm...curious. I can't find where I told him to change. In fact, had you read my post, it was simply addressing his points, defending my own point of view. Kyle Rodgers
June 2, 201313 yr I'm really glad someone noticed this actually - it's something I started asking Vin to take a look at after I flew the level D 777 simulator last year. We did a full audit of that part of the cockpit a few test versions ago and realized that a couple measurements weren't right - went back and had them redone and it looks great now. You get much more of a sense of how confined these cockpits really are now because the view out the front is more constrained and the overhead is much closer to your "head" now. We're planning to revisit this in the NGX as well for SP2, so don't be surprised if the dimensions change a bit there too - it will be quite a noticeable change for people used to the view you get currently in SP1c. That sounds really promising Ryan. One question, I don't have any experiences with Servicepack but I guess they are offered for free right? - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)

June 2, 201313 yr ... I swear, the amount of threads I've clicked on this past week that made my heart skip a beat saying "it's out!", "it's released!", "there it is!", "something's happening!" or a variation/similarity on that is beyond any normal scale of count...

June 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member A massive invasion of privacy and data miner pretending to be social media. It can't be an invasion of privacy if people are voluntarily joining the site, and volunteering selected (i.e. to their own degree of comfort or willingness) information. That's like saying the TV show Duck Dynasty is an invasion of the Robertson family privacy. They allowed the show to be filmed, thus it's an invitation into the private life, and not an invasion of it. Same goes for social media. The ability for anyone to get my name, address, and other information simply because I'm a pilot? That's more of an invasion of privacy, though I wouldn't really consider the information to be private. If you don't like it, don't joint it. That's fine. I respect that. Where that courtesy ends, however, is situations in which facts are undercut by emotional responses. This isn't me defending Facebook; rather, it's me trying to stomp out the technophobic responses I keep hearing over and over. Ever use those membership cards at Costco, Food Kitty (Lion), Safeway, REI, or anything of that sort? Just a heads up: they're mining that data too. Welcome to 2013. A lot of life isn't about selling the product anymore. Life is about selling the data that is generated by that product. Why are so many of the killer apps in the app store free, I wonder... well said! You can't even view other FB pages unless you have an account. This is not true. The ability to see a page depends on its privacy level. This is true for both personal and identity (corporate) pages. Here's an example: https://www.facebook.com/TheLifeOfAPilot. PMDG's page is another. You do not need to be a member to see the content. Give it a second to load and you'll be able to see everything since the page was created. Hahaha You can't win an argument against Kyle, he'll destroy you Haha - that made my morning, and in light of the thread, is now my Facebook status... I have to admit, though, there have been a number of circumstances where I was in over my head and still pressed on like I knew what I was talking about. One in particular, Robert stepped in and somehow managed to politely say "you have no idea what you're talking about." Unfortunately (fortunately?), I can't find the post/thread. There are definitely others that I know still exist, like my unfortunate attempt to prove Kevin H wrong about flight simulator certification requirements (turns out, he worked doing that at one point).
