Everything you say is true, and rather irrelevant here I'm afraid. Before this thread some people who read it may not have known that MilViz did a very nice (according to the TS) F-15. Indeed some may not have known about MilViz at all. Now though, thanks to the TS, they do, and thanks to your spokesperson they immediately developed negative opinions towards the company. As did some of your old customers. You can talk about psychology all you like but it doesn't change the fact that it's you who's losing money, therefore it's your problem.

Send me your purchase info and I will reimburse you for the MV F-15E.  That you cannot read the manual (like everyone else, including the real world pilots, does) tells me that you do not deserve to own our product...

Dear MilViz,

I purchased both the B55 and C310R last August and have yet to read the manual of either aircraft.  Therefore, I apparently don't deserve to own your products either.  If you will let me know where to send a copy of my receipt I will be glad to do so.

Fortunately I bought the aircraft on sale, so my refund would only be $29.99?

I will of course be glad to reinforce that I don't deserve to own your products with the lack of any future purchases.

FFS they apologized.... read through the entire thread next time.

Ryan,

I did and 63 years of life has taught me that apologies are cheap.  His original comment is much more indiciative of how he really feels.

So, those who wish can support MilViz all they want, but as for me I'll take any future FS purchases elsewhere.

There stuff is extremely high quality.  If you eliminate cranky developers (who bust their butts and get a lot of complaints) you're going to have to eliminate more than these folks.

I agree with Ernest. Posts #2 and #6 are much more indicative of MilViz's feelings: MilViz is proud of his work and the work his colleagues do. He defends the quality of his products - including documentation quality.

Will check your upcoming releases, MilViz.

OK gentlemen, the red risk of closure banner is up.

This thread has enough pop psychological and philosophical pronouncements interspersed with self aggrandizing proclamations to support a pathological convention.

Is there something in the water?

Kind regards,

Ah ain't skeert ta post!

A bit of psychology coming up. It seems to me, and I could be wrong, that a lot of developers start out making freeware and as such earn peoples gratitude. Then they decide to go into business and sell their stuff. The trouble starts when they don't swap hats from amateur to professional. They get offended when people are no longer 'grateful', now they have to pay!

The thing to learn is that the paying customer is a different animal to the 'freeby collector' and should be approached with caution.

That's why a high level/quality product is still not enough for the paying customer: If the paying customer can't make up their mind whether to prefer a 'clean' or a 'dirty' flightdeck, the developer has to create two flightdecks and an option to switch from one to the other - in midflight, of course!!!   :t0118:

(Re-read this thread and collect all the support items from this topic: quick start guide, 500+ pages POH - including 23 pages with normal procedures from cold&dark to shutdown -, several video tutorials, support forum etc. - all in for 40 bucks!)

Glad, I'm one of those lucky few with the money (  :P  ); leading the life of a developer instead seems like an ongoing nightmare to me!!!

WOW!, That wasn't very nice.  I don't own any of you're products but with that kind of comment/sarcasm, I'll be sure to stay far away from you're products.

peace!

Very well said, and perhaps even true here and there! B)

I enjoyed this thread thanks to Milviz/Colin, probably because I work in retail management and can totally get where he was coming from. Luckily the company i work for gives me a small amount of room to favor ethics and showing certain customers the door over favoring the almighty dollar.

The An-2 is quite easy to fly. It is systems deep that simulates starting and operating a big radial engine quite nicely.  Like any real plane, you can't just firewall it and fly around not paying attention to your temp gauges.  Just adhere to engine limitations, open oil shutter and cowl flaps, and you will be fine.  There are two well written guides for it, the checklist/panel info...etc guide and a flying guide, detailing how to fly it.  Plus there is a forum on the developer's website if you need further help on how to fly the An-2
