October 31, 201312 yr I already applied the essence of the systems simulation the the version 1 of this airplane, but it used the old original VC. The "new" VC (actually the BT-67) is missing some important components (inverter, etc) that I'd need to put into a 2D popup. But it could be done. At the moment though I'm working on FSCaptain, but once that release (1.4.6) is out I may have a little time to devote to this. Dutch Thank you Dutch, I am waiting for your work to be released. November 1, 201312 yr Was it so, that you couldn't "connect" to a different VC as it is a inseparable part of the model? I made few experiments with aircraft.cfg and Jahn's C-47 V1, but no success.
November 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member Its out at sim-outhouse.com, the best DC3 there is!! It's what I plan on spending some time in this weekend: Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
November 3, 201312 yr The do a better paint or model. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
November 9, 201312 yr I can't access to sim-outhouse.com. It says server is down. Any other place I can find this plane?
November 9, 201312 yr If one would like to fly with the antique cockpit, like in C-47 version 1, are the flight models switchable? I mean can you take air. file from version 2 and drop it to version 1?
November 10, 201312 yr Hey guys, thanks for the complements. The TW sound pak is my first pak and I'm still learning how to work with FSX sounds. The slow start sequence in Manfred's C-47/C-117D is what got me to do this sound pak. Never done one, but I thought this model needed one based on all the videos I watched of the Dak startups. Also, I did the startup effects for both models and that was fun trying my hand at that too. Here's a sound fix if needed to lower the cockpit sounds: https://app.box.com/s/fvuu2byofwn59hxrhuuv TF
November 10, 201312 yr Well, that was pretty sweet. I just did two flights from my reference KTTD and man, this plane has soul!!! First flight was default everything, I did not do the full start-up sequence, and I could not get the GPS displays fired up, but it just did not feel "right" bailing with ESC - the climb out and turn to the west was just... captivating! So, I took a small tour to explore the flight dynamics, followed by an overly aggressive landing at KPDX. Good thing the landing gear is military rated. After installing the TW sound pack (thanks, TF - that is an *amazing* enhancement!), I took another flight and circled back to land at KTTD, and greased it this time. What a sweet aircraft! Normally I fly exclusively GA, but there is just something about this plane: despite the limited outside visibility, the relative lack of speed, and a lumbering flight dynamic, it is just plain... fun to fly. Really well done - congratulations to the entire team! Now to explore the other paints (that polished metal looks good!). Oh, and just for reference: it all works in P3D... November 10, 201312 yr I can't access to sim-outhouse.com. It says server is down. Any other place I can find this plane? I'm getting the same, appears as though their website is down. Anyone have any information on this? Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

January 4, 201412 yr If you guys are interested in a vintage cockpit... look no further... in the works! http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?84263-Attention-all-DC-3-fans-!&p=856803&viewfull=1#post856803
January 4, 201412 yr Been following Jan's project and meant to post the link - glad you did, and very glad it's in the works. Looks to be the perfect finishing touch. Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
January 4, 201412 yr The Version 2 C-47 really is great, but the use of the BT-67 cockpit was a real downer for me. I think this vintage cockpit will be a great addition and will certainly add more realism to the C-47.
