FS 9.95 never looked so good.

Great video sir.

Wish CLS would update their DC10 VC or Air Bleed's would have been released.

Thanks.

I agree.  I was thinking about contacting CLS to ask them if they've thought about it.  I know at one point they wanted to do a better DC-10 but that plan suddenly stopped.  The current DC-10 actually flies really good for a lite add on.  The external models are superb, especially with the right enb settings.  It's the VC that looks horrible.  However, I also doubt they would do it for the FS9 version.  Their updated 747 is FSX only.

The only other option would be to check with Zinertek.  They did updated cockpits for the LD 767.  And the great thing is, they updated the FS9 version as well.  Then, even if they agreed to do it for the DC-10, they would still need to get permission from CLS.

  • Well I am assuming the thread title is a typo! Nobody got beyond here as far as I know! Good idea for a thread, I happened to pop some screens while looking through aircraft for the Best Freeware A

  • What happened to this thread? I am more into moving pics with sound (not music) than stills now but hey let's see some pics.

  • Here's some old screenshots from around last year. Unfortunately, I go through FS phases due to real life commitments and I'm happy to report that I've been actively flying FS9 for the past few weeks

Nice clip Groovin.

I have to ask: why no ground shadows??

The FSX'ers mostly can't have them for performance reasons, and it makes the sim look like 2D cutouts.

But FS9? Surely...

Nice shots Harald and Edetroit!

The VC in the YAK looks excellent.  I'll be flying her soon.

I should have posted this here.  Don't know why, a few days ago, I posted it on the video section that no one visits lol.

Here's the best I've gotten my FS9 to look so far.  Watch in full screen HD.

May I ask for a list of the add ons you were using in your video? Also, does any of you guys have a working solution for blurries?

Nice shots.  I like your sky colors.

I'm using ENB, CLS DC-10 (w / livery upgrade pack for that old Lufhansa livery), CS Legendary 727, Aerosoft Frankfurt, REX, GEP, Ultimate Traffic, Ultimate Terrain Europe, Experience X Night Lighting for FS9, Real H2O V2 / Zinertek Water Advanced (only using the reflection effects from Zinertek), Absolute Real Sim Textures FS2004.

I'm only using the tree textures from ARSTFS2004.  By far the best looking tree upgrade package, IMO.

To decrease blurries, try these values in the cfg under [TERRAIN]...

TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1

TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.000000

TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.900000

TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4

  • 4 weeks later...

Beautiful shots in this thread.

I was thinking of reinstalling the old sim myself, since there is a 75 fps threshold for the oculus rift, I think FS9 might be a sim of choice with that hardware.

Brilliant shots!  Is that the Just flight/ CLS model and is the paint available?
