February 15, 201610 yr Unless you can provide a link, AFAIK, 64bit FSX it just pure speculation. No it's not speculation DTG Flight Simulator which is based off the FSX engine will be 64bit. "DTG Flight Simulator is still very much in development and is planned to be more expansive and evolved than Flight School. We are committed to developing a cutting edge flight simulator which takes full advantage of modern PCs and can be continuously built upon. For starters, Dovetail Games Flight Simulator will be a 64-bit simulator using DirectX 11 and take full advantage of modern GPU and CPU performance." http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/16/412446890550990408/#p4 Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
February 15, 201610 yr Why are you guys hijacking the IXEG thread. Go start another one, there's already 4 or 5 on DTG anyways... be at least 2 years before there is anything of this quality on any new platform so it's a non issue. Steve McNitt

February 16, 201610 yr Very interested in the IXEG 737! Looks like it will be a fantastic addon aircraft. The preview videos are amazing! Not really that interested in anything based off FSX however. Rob

February 16, 201610 yr News from VETTE So on another note, quite a bit of a milestone. All the code for the VNAV 1.0 feature list is in place as of today and we are beginning flight testing and debugging of the full route LNAV / VNAV capability within a few days (our main tester seems to be a real airline pilot away at work....slacker). After our internal debugging checks and fixes, we'll engage a relatively quick beta test with some selected newbies (already selected)...and then we will mop and sweep, spit and polish and release. March 1, 201610 yr I just hope you can roll the knobs using the mouse-wheel and not that horrible "hold&drag" function of X-Plane... Jaime Beneyto My real life aviation and flight simulation videos [English and Spanish] System: i9 9900k OC 5.0 GHz | RTX 2080 Super | 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Asus Z390-F
March 1, 201610 yr I just hope you can roll the knobs using the mouse-wheel and not that horrible "hold&drag" function of X-Plane... it will not have mouse wheel support, at least initally. They have modified the hold&drag function however to make it work better. Personally i love the hold and drag done right like the flyjsim ones. and a badly implemented mousewheel is far worse than that. I can understand that some people have a problem with that, but after using it with the carrenados for a while, i do not see the gigantic leaps of usability this function is supposed to bring according to FSX/P3D users.

Well in that case, I hope it's properly designed, as you said. Or they could offer the choice to the user. I'm speaking because of my experience with 3-position selectors on the overhead panel of FlightFactor's 757. Adjusting the Seat Belt signs, for example, was a real pain. Depending on the point of view it could take a few tries to get it right. When they implemented the option to use a mouse-wheel that was a blessing for me. Just compare the FlyJSim to FF in that regard and it is a real day and night. The reason they didn't offer it initally afaik, is that gizmo supplies the functionality. Since this plane is so long in development, they are still developing on an older version of GIZMO that does not have this functionallity. And so close before launch, they do not want to update that as it might break more things than it does fix and requires extra testing. They said that they are very happy with the way it currently works, and everybody that is using it sofar has no issues. However they are monitoring the forums after release, and if it turns out to be a problem for alot of people they will add it.
