  1. Thanks a bunch, I had to miss it and couldn't find anything regarding "range" in the manual. All the best!
  2. Hey, Just got the FMS extension and did my first flight in it. Seems like a great addition to already great plane. Couple of quick questions from the quick flight I did: a) No display range control for the digital HSI? Seems like it's by defualt set to 50nm and cannot be changed. Makes very hard to read out MAP mode in terminal areas. Did I miss something (manual doesn't mention it) or is it going to be added in later updates? b) Is it just me or is the FMS treating all waytpoints as fly-over instead of fly-by? Autopilot seems to initiate turns quite late and overshoting the planned route. More testing to follow. Thanks for the hard work! Great stuff.
  3. The "big news, total exclusive first look into A2A connie" turned out to be just one screenshot and nothing else. It's prefectly summarized by the dev post on the forums - "Work continues, we did a lot but we have quite a bit ahead of us". Ergo, nothing exciting.
  4. I don't want to be a downer, but their latest update is somehow less table than the previous ones. Nothing is more annoying than a random gizmo error 2 hours into your 3 hour long flight, rendering your entire FMS useless. And sadly, there is no way of rolling back to the previous release (unless I am wrong on this one?). Anyhow, for now it's parked in the hangar until the next patch is released.
  5. Since you seem to own both, can you point out advantages, disadvantages and differences between Flysimware and Xtreme Prototypes lears? Thanks in advance.
  6. I mean, opinion is one thing. "I don't like Jar 330" is a valid opinion. Making a bunch of inflammatory statements that are factually untrue is, sadly, not an opinion. In what way is 330 full of bugs? In what way the flight model is "very bad"? Textures are very bad too? Compared to what? Not worth using even if it would be freeware? At this stage, it's less bugged than 767... Maybe it's just user error? Are you sure you are using it correctly? Maybe give us a solid examples instead of generic statements without any substance? While I respect your "opinion", it's hard to treat such posts seriously. (As for Tony, I think we're still kind of on topic, and I try to have nothing else but a productive discussion. Not trying to start a flame war).
  7. But... that's exactly was GoranM's point that I agreed with providing this example... Although one could wonder what did they do during these 5 years they were developing it
  8. Paint me impressed, that looks like a winner.
  9. Anyone got some good, detailed review/first look at XtremePrototypes GLJ Model 25? It looks interesting from what I could gather.
  10. Ah yes, I was unaware with the project so didn't really know how long it will take. If, as you say, it's not necessarily this year then I guess I can pick up CX anyway. I will take funcitonality over visuals any day of the week.
  11. The more I read about this bird, the more I want to get it. Or is it more worth to wait for XLS?
  12. Remember that you can get full refund for any product on steam for virtually any reason, if your total playtime is less than 2h.
  13. Well, entering and recovering from them is a part of every basic training. I mean, if you gave me a specific situation that you think is wrong and why, then we can discuss it at least. Saying your whole point relies on having "some knowledge about it" is a bit non-substantial. I guess, or hope, that you made this thread to actually spark such discussion.
  14. Not to bash, but weird conclusions. What are you basing your observations on? Do you know which engine is moddeled in airfoillabs? Do you know the difference in actual fligh behaviour between 160 and 180 horsepower engines on 172s? between different power settings? Do you take trimming settings into account? Speed? I am all for analyzing things, as long as there is some substance to it. Here you make a general statement on something and say it's wrong without actually saying anything. I know it sound stupid, but give me few weeks and I will get you a video where I get a 172 into spiral from 15 degree left bank.
  15. It's a development video, not a "promo" video, but of course acts as both. I mean, on one hand you have dozens of people spam threads for development screeshots in every thread possible and on the other people who finds posting such videos "odd". Can't please everyone I guess?
  16. Just few days ago someone contacted Eugeny with some MCDU logic error with A320neo and he worked his &@($* off to resolve the issue. He released an update 2 days later fixing it. It's version 2.3.2 Like, I get it, you don't like JAR's airbuses. That's fine and I definitely see where you are coming from. They aren't perfect and have their issues. But no reason to make stuff up in the thread about lack of support in a thread about a340...
  17. Well, look at PMDG upcoming DC-6. The workload would be virtually impossible to handle (3 men crew + tons of stuff to monitor/do). Yet seems like PMDG found a good solution that even add to immersion of flying this amazing plane. So everything is possible
  18. Felis changed prices of both AN-24 and Yak-40 as he is close to release with his Tu-154m. Price of both on the .org site is reduced to 10 USD each.
  19. Well, Felis' Tu-154m is going to be released pretty soon. I don't know about you guys, but Felis was always a synonym of quality and attention to detail to me. So I am rather excited about it!
  20. No really big issues for me. VNAV can be a bit moody sometimes, but it's the case in real plane as well. Hence pilots usually really on VS instead. Visually, I find FF767 a bit too reflective and glossy, but maybe it's jsut me. Other than that, it's an awesome, reliable plane.
  21. 3.1 and 3.1.1 patches to the Skymaxx pro vastly improved that aspect for me. The changes are quite fluid and aren't as noticeable. Additionally, no freezes anymore when weather is rebaked since the last patch. Can't really talk about the RWC since I didn't get it yet.
  22. Post your log.txt and gizmo log file from the main X-Plane's folder. Also, http://www.multicrewxp.com/Support.html would be a good place to get some more specalized help.
  23. Obviously, and I like tinkering with it too, as it lets me learn a lot of new things. It's just pretty exclusive for photo/OrthoXP. Guides I found confuse me more rather than help.
  24. "Easy" you say I get a headache every time I start reading guides for photoscenery and I have yet to do it successfully.
