December 17, 201411 yr Anyone want to buy my FSX disks for $300 - time I switched to P3D anyway IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
December 17, 201411 yr What about the new FSX in Steam? What is their price. I don't know anything about Steam or if their version is the same old FSX or something else. But I am curious. Why would you buy FSX when you can buy P3D with factory support?
December 17, 201411 yr I saw a copy of it in my local Game Store recently for just £12. Wish I had bought a few copies ! Steve 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
December 17, 201411 yr Moderator If you could share a preferred method for making an ISO copy or have a handy link available it would be much appreciated. Google search found this article with simple instructions... http://pcsupport.about.com/od/software-tools/a/create-iso-image-file.htm Fr. December 17, 201411 yr Moderator Another place to look is your local Craigslist (if you're in the US, that is). People are always clearing out their PC game collections, and one can invariably find a copy or 2 of FSX out there amidst the sales.
December 17, 201411 yr Another place to look is your local Craigslist I just saw one listed on the Carbondale/Marion, Illinois Craigslist website for $15 bucks. Not sure if it's the Gold version though Chris Sunseri
December 17, 201411 yr This has been posted before (believe by MGH - Gerry). Those prices are for FSX purchases from dealers in the Far East and probably using their currency, not US currency. I think they're selling using US dollars on amazon.com. Gerry Howard
December 17, 201411 yr Wouldn't the laws of supply and demand mean that with unlimited FSX availability on Steam, likely for a reasonable price, that nobody is going to pay $300 for FSX in boxed form? It's not as if a box of FSX is like a wrapped vinyl copy of Sgt Pepper's. If somebody really needs the box, perhaps just wait a week, and it might just be that vendors are giving them away for peanuts.
December 17, 201411 yr I think you'd be surprised by what some people are prepared to pay.. Gerry Howard
December 17, 201411 yr Glad I bought the Gold edition for 9.99 six months ago. Just opened a few days ago.
