PMDG's Boeings are officially licensed, the FS Labs A320 is not, maybe that makes a difference?

Either way, shame on making P3D users pay a lot more for the same product being sold for FSX.

All have some degree of licensing from the respective manufacturers - you can't be making money off their products (or any likeness thereof) without it.

What impresses me the most about the FSLabs bus is the amount of passion that went into every little detail.

From the APU heat shimmering that you can see (not overdone, but just right), to the notices and warnings on the wheel struts and engines that can be read in all details, just mind boggling.

Not to mention the system depth and failures.

I mean, even the coffee machines make 3 different types of beverages...

When the P3D version comes out I will be in line to purchase and support them.

I can not imagine how many man hours went into this. It is good to see developers going the extra mile, very impressive!

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Is anyone using this in 1440p or higher?  I know the Concorde had serious VAS issues (even in P3dv3) at resolutions above 1080p, and I see the purchase page for the A320 recommends no higher than 1080p again...wondering if it's an issue with this aircraft too.

Same here.. I need to know this.. I am using gazzilion resolution. 1080p is so 10 years ago!

I only use 4k now so this plane might not work on my system?

Hi Paul not sure I understand this statement - in 4K you now have a much smoother experience and able to turn things up - its worlds a part from my 32" pc monitor - no more NI - its stunning

They say to use only 1080p for this plane so higher rez might not work or maybe I am missing something.

1080p is out of the question then - who even uses that resolution anymore - sounds strange to me - thanks have to look into it

Stated at purchase page:

Be aware that running the simulator at screen resolutions higher than 1920×1080 will cause significantly increased VAS memory requirements and it is NOT recommended

Looks like I am a 100 bucks richer thats unbelievable - wonder how many buy it not knowing this fact - thanks for the heads up on this

When the p3d version comes out I'm trying 4k anyway. I can't go back to 1080.

There is a trick with their Concorde on how to save +- 500MB VAS at high resolutions. My setup has 3 screens with a total resolution of 5980x1080 and I'm running Concorde at busy addon airports without VAS issues. The thing is you have to reduce the window size of every 2D panel to fit a 1080p screen since they can eat a lot of memory when stretched across the display which is the result when going multi screen or any resolution above 1080p. Maybe it's the same with the airbus? That one surely has less panels than Concorde but who knows..

Gentlemen,

we removed that statement from our web page as it was causing confusion. We have many customers running the A320-X already in higher resolution and it works fine. As long as your settings are optimized, there should be no problems.

Running anything @4k makes a difference. FPS and VAS. Unless you have the hard wear.

Come on! Think!

I have to say that after watching some video's I am getting more and more interested in this plane. I've been an Airbus fan for ages, prefer it over Boeing stuff by far, and although I like the Aerosoft Airbus (and the extra's it offers) I have to say that being able to toggle EVERY switch, push EVERY button and turn EVERY knob looks mighty cool... I probably won't use everything but it DOES make things more real. The 'dead' buttons, switches and knobs in the Aerosoft plane always bugged me a little.

Would be cool though if by the time the P3D version will be released something like FS2Crew would be available for it. I always use the Aerosoft checklist (with audio etc.) and it makes things more real/immersive for me. Anyway, I will be keeping a very close eye on the FLS version!

BTW Are there any tutorials (and/or manuals) for this FLS Airbus that can be downloaded from somewhere? Does it come with a tutorial at all? I think I can get a long way thanks to my Aerosft Airbus experience but in a video I already noticed something about the brake pressure needing attention (great stuff!) and obviously I know nothing about all that.

Yes it comes with a very good tutorial which takes you from Vienna LOWW to Copenhagen EKCH.

It covers the basics from a cold and dark start through to shutdown, you should be fairly proficient after completing it to be able to take it anywhere!

I think I read that the more advanced features will be covered in a later tutorial.
